Sorry to everyone who took Aneheim the past 3 games, but give the Royals some credit where credit is due... here is a young team improving quickly and pulled off a miraculous sweep of the Halos this past week. KC may be bad now and they're starting pitching is still terrible, but watch out for these guys in the future. Sure, they're going to lose 90+ games this year, but they have a lot of promsing young players.

My prediction is they start making noise in the next 2-3 years and they're rebuilding smart.

They are assured of their first winning month since September 2003 I believe. What's funny though is that people still think New York is good and Kansas City only has I believe three fewer wins than New York does. Kind of like Baltimore tonight...everyone was taking New York yet Baltimore's record is only a couple games worse than New York's and the O's had the much better starter going. Perception really is everything and that's why I rarely watch ESPN or these other networks (mainly ESPN) because they brainwash you and pollute your mind with perception instead of reality.

Royals assured of their 1st winning month since 2003. I think the mgr deserves a ton of credit. I also think they are big fans of IL.

Darned good day for KC! (and I was on the Angels today). Having a killer bullpen really helps shorten up a game. The Royals need starters that can go out there and get through 6 innings every time. After that, they have a deep enough pen to cover the last few innings on most days.

Still need to get the offense going, though. KC has got to get some of these guys launching the longball. The occasional quick run or 2 from a homer would help them win a lot more of these low scoring games with that surprisingly effective pitching staff.
