they are rechalking the line and fixing up the infield, it had a decent amount of water on it, just doing some minor field repairs. but the umps want to finsih it tonight....should be getting started shortly, haven't heard any time frames but they started taking the tarp off and doing field repairs I'd say about 30-40 min ago.

freakin' joke...4 Yankees runs wiped out by that suspension...stupid flippin' rules.

I had the Yanks over 5 runs and a piece of the runline.
ALSO had the Yanks on a fairly big parlay, which becomes a loser because of this chit.

I'm pissed.
I need to kick some ass tomorrow.

If a game is called or suspended, the winner is determined by the score after the last full inning unless the home team scores to tie, or takes the lead in the bottom half of the inning, in which case the winner is determined by the score at the time the game is called. Monies will be refunded if the home team ties the game and it is then suspended. Events will not carry over to the following day unless otherwise specified.

Thanks MN,

...at least you do some things right...

Before 1980, the score would have reverted to the start of the inning, giving the Orioles a 6-4 win. But the rule was changed after a game on Aug. 13, 1978, when Baltimore led 3-0 after six innings and the Yankees scored five runs in the top of the seventh.

The rule still applies for wagering purposes.

That's what my post was referring to; that's what we're discussing here, right?

Interesting to note the rule change, though.

Yanks-Orioles game is supposed to be completed sometime near the end of July.

My wager has been graded as a loss also. This rule has totally caught me by surprise. It is fundamentally UNFAIR.At the very least we should be refunded the wager amount.

I would accept this outcome if MLB started the game over on jul 27 with the yanks losing 6-4 but they will be starting the game with the yanks winning 8-6 so this is an unacceptable outcome.
