Ok Was reading about the 300+ investigations by dems in last 100 days--and was followed by getting red card from another liberal on political issue--and got the idea of forum research on issue of Liberal/Conservative- pessimist/optimist-doer/whiner ect ect theory--and wondered how it would play out here--We have way to do our own research on matter--and can't be any fudging as we have the research material already and it can't be changed.
While I don't know outcome I am willing to wager a shirt/sweatshirt of choice on outcome.
I believe that liberals here will have give given out more redcards on political issues to conservatives as conservatives have given to liberals.
My reasoning is I believe you have one entity looking for opp to whine much more than the other-

Give it a day before listing Red cards received so I have opp to get wager 1st please.

I think a better study would be to see how many people have red-carded those on their own political "side".

Then again, this is kind of a pointless "study" in the first place. What if your post is so ignorant that you deserved a red card, but only those of us on the opposite side had the sense to issue you one?

Wayne, this little excersize would only serve to further polarize the differing points of view which is hardly constructive. I would personally prefer to see less finger pointing and more rational discussion on the issues.

Hmm and any opinions from the other side?

Just thought good chance to prove point--not counting BBC because of post announce of recent and reason
---only red cards I received was from flaming liberals here on political issues--personally have never given red card and doubt I ever find reason to--when cards came out my 1st thought wasn't who can I whine about but rather --great we now have private messenger finally--works well to send wager privite tip/messages--if need be --and was curious who spends their resources in negative manner.

so far from personal experience its been very predicatble.

--with all due respect gregg--just thought it was unique opportunity to look at theory in controled environment and the defining fator was non fudgeable actions vs words.

--My question I ask myself now--is it the test or the anticipated outcome that was the objection. ;)

I don't think that it's a right/left thing. I think you may have red cards because you're a polarizing figure. Spytheweb has a negative rating and I'm sure that those didn't come from the handicapping forums as he's never there, so I think it's safe to assume that the negative ratings came from the Con's.

Think of yourself as the Spytheweb of the right.

I don't think that I've given out any negative ratings in the political forum with the possible exception of Charles Manson or Ctownguy in a drunken stupor.

I've not given out reputation points of either kind due to a post in the Political Forum. However, I did receive a green box from GW for my post in Buddy's Garden Weasel Dandy thread on the 4th. Hope this helps with your survey, Wayne.

This would be best reason not to probably and it makes sense.

For the record BBC and Judge --I would not classify either of you as liberals and would not have expected either of you to be remotely in the glass have empty/pessimist catagory.

I've given political red cards to Spy, Kosar, and I think DTB? ...They were all kind of sarcastic and publicly announced ...Political greens to Weasel, BBC ...and that might be it. I threatened a red on UGA12 because he dissapproved of the forum's "anger", but never gave him one. He gave me a red in return pre-emptively and I thought that was funny, so I will give him a green card. IO continues to give me weekly red cards and I enjoy that quite a bit.

The cards in general are proving to be kinda pointless because after a while almost everyone will be completely green.

Not sure what you are asking for Dogs, but I hope that info helps your data collection. For the record, you have become a member of the neocon/whiner/pessimist element.;)

In your search for "the truth", I can honestly say that I have given out no red cards at all here, and received only one I remember, from the right wing supporter I/O, who responded to one of my posts he didn't agree with by labeling it (and/or me) "Dense."

Don't know what that does for your rankings, but I think it flies in the face of your assertion.

Good luck with the poll. My only thinking on this is that I would think that liberals and non-righties are both pretty unhappy with the way things are going, and have a heck of a lot more to "red-flag" than conservatives of late - who have had things pretty much the way they presumably have wanted for several years now.

there's several that lean left here who I don't think can figure out how to give out red cards (spytheweb, sponge to name 2), so maybe there aren't as many as you think, Wayne? :mj07:

Dogs - You're number of greens have gone down since starting this thread. :mj07:

:) You might have point BBC--I look at cards like this--whether green or red its a matter of who they are from and for what reason--

---I find political cards amusing as I'm sure you do also. the way I look at it one green card from respected peer per several diff subjects outweigh all the reds political/it ain't my fault, folks want to pile on--and I sure it is the same with most.

I just got a red card from bobbybluechip, my scramble partner. wtf?? :nono: :mj07: Team dissention already?? Bobby, are u a libahrull??:mj07:

No dissension. We're all on the same team (i.e. making sure Dogs clubs are clean, ensuring that he's hydrated and walking off 160 yds. to make sure the yardage markers are accurate.)

I find all the cards amusing - more so when they were anonymous
