Yeah it's pretty freaky coops! But then who would have thought the Hawks would be equal second too? :shrug: Been a few years since three Melbourne clubs topped the ladder.

I look back on Shannon Grant's kick from the goal square in the last seconds of our week 1 game v Collingwood where he tried to kick the ball out of the MCG and hit the goal post. We'd be a game clear in outright second!

Coach Laidley may have his loyalties tested at years end when a few clubs go waving the chequebook at him. He will probably ask for triple the $$ when contract talk starts with us.

I had 'factored in' Thornton's miss Christo. He is a defender so it was never a certainty even from 35 out. Shagga & Petrie missed two easy ones, by their standards, in the last qtr so that was the balance!


I've got a spring in my step as my guys are undefeated system-wise and are keeping me afloat in the bankroll. This may be the 'run' I have been waiting for on what has been a frustrating season thus far.

Nah we've exceeded expectations mate. Will be happy to finish in the 8 and play a final or two. Next year will be big once Thommo is back in the goal square!

Your Bombers have a tough run home and I'd expect about 10th to be honest!! Would be a great effort for you guys to play finals. Who funkin knows man.......been a weird season!

Yep, expecting about a 10th place finish unless we can cause an upset or two. Yeh, very different season to years past. Other than the bottom three sides, anyone can win on any given week.
