hello

What do you think about these two fights :

Braithwaite is crude and fights a little bit stupid but he sure has nice power.
Maccarinelli has some good wins but he was knocked out and also knocked down against lesser puncher than Braithwaite. If he connects clean Braithwaite is in trouble but he went the distance with Mormeck though he can take a few.

Anyway at what odds would you pull the tricker on Braithwaite ?
Its in england this weekend 21 July.

Who is this otis Griffin ?

He is fighting Green at lightheavy weight and has won some obscure tv show named the next great champ ?

Green will win but will he take him out under 10 ?

I know Green pretty well but has anybody seen this griffin guy in action ?

This fight is on wendsday in australia.

Any help would be appreciated

i liked braithwaite...but,i`ve soured on him.....

at first,i figured maybe mormeck was special after beating him(even though the close call with hill raised questions).....

now i think that the whole bunch(mormeck/braithwaite.o`neil) aren`t world beaters.... and i think guillermo jones is as good,if not better than any of `em...

i haven`t seen maccarinelli....but i`ve read that he`s pretty good...

i have little confidence in braithwaite now that his bubble`s been burst....

Otis Griffin fought in and won the 1st contender series even though he lost an earlier bout, they found some hokie way to get him back in it and he reversed the loss. The rds were not shown in their entirety and they were only 5 rders so it was kind of difficult to get a feel for the fighters true ability. He's a classic boxer lacking serious pop although he must be sitting on his punches lately because he's gotten a few guys out as of late. He has a few SDs in his hometown over c-d level. This is a HUGE step up as he hasn't fought anyone remotely close to world class. I was impressed with Green a few years back then he hit a few bumps. Supposedly he suffered from some condition that has since been corrected and he's looked impressive in his last few fights. I'd be a little shocked if Green did not win and I expect the odds to reflect that.

I thought Mora won the 1st contender series? was there a series before this? I thought there was only three.

You are correct...Griffin was in something called "The next Great Champ" or something to that effect...very hokie soap opera/boxing set up.

I place my bet on Enzo. It seems like he is in a great shape and Braithwaite in bad.

braithwaite now at +350 at bet365.
thats out of line imo.

Sorry, didn't mean to steal your post Tony. I forgot you had posted it earlier in the week and didn't see it when I posted "Brait/Enzo". Anywho's +350 is wayyy out of line and quite a bargain regardless what happens. I took Braite for +325. Good luck.

If a moderator can delete my post and just add the comments to your original, that would be great.

I dont know about Braithwaite the way he fought against Jones he wont make it out of the first three rounds. he took twenty straight right hands in the first round. He had only 5 weeks to prepare, i pull part of my wager and took the under 7 and a half.

But maybe he gets lucky and lands something big first. Should be fun to watch anyway.

braithwaite was down right at the end of the 5th if its a minute to go its over but bRaithwaite hang in there tough. Braithwaite won two rounds max.

Maccarinelli is pretty impressive though solid boxing great speed and power, moster body puncher too.
Papa Calzaghe seems to be pretty good trainer, his other pupil rees was a +500 underdog to beat Mbaye and he did it.
