-- Texas Rangers right-hander Kameron Loe was placed on the 15-day disabled list, and Willie Eyre will start in his place Saturday against the Toronto Blue Jays.

Eyre is 3-3 with a 3.88 ERA. Right-hander Mike Wood was recalled from Triple-A Oklahoma, but will get the day off after throwing 81 pitches in eight innings in a victory over Fresno on Wednesday. He gave up three runs and five hits.
