Among Libtards!!
obviously the guy is a great golfer.....but he just exudes dickhead with his demeanor on the course....his tough guy walk and stare. On top of that, you have to love a guy who pipes off about wanting a piece of Tiger.....then takes a 1-shot lead into the final round twice now this year paired with Tiger and he completely chokes on Tigers nutsack. :mj07:

At Wachovia, Sabbatini leads by 1 going into final round and shoots a 2-over 74....while Tiger shoots a 3-under 69.

Today, Sabbatini leads by 1 going into final round and shoots a 4-over 74.....while Tiger shoots a 5-under 65!!!

I am not a huge Tiger fan, but this was a classic loudmouth in Sabbatini getting his nose rubbed in it again today and I was happy to watch it.

Someone needs to tell him not to tug on Superman's cape. This is a classic to watch today, and not that I am a true fan of Tiger either. I wonder if he still likes the "new Tiger".

Not that anyone cares but Rory is a friend of mine and he is the farthest thing from a dickhead as you can get. I have been friends with his wife since childhood and thats how I met Rory. He has a very dry sense of humor that may rub people the wrong way, but he is a really nice guy. As far as calling Tiger out I told him "Be careful what you wish for" and he laughed and said "No Shit!" He's just honest when most people blow smoke up the media's ass. He says whats on his mind and what other players want to say, but don't have the balls to say it.He doesn't care what anyone else thinks about him. He wants to play Tiger on Sunday's because if you want to be the best you have to beat the best (as the cliche goes). Besides as he told me "If you are playing with Tiger on Sunday, chances are you are in contention to win the tournament."

Anyway not trying to impress anyone or change anyone's opinion just letting you know that he is not like he is portrayed. Cocky yes, but not a ****. Just my two cents.

I am sure Rory is a nice guy and I have no complaints with him stating his comments, other than the fact he should win something of value first. He is quietly having a nice year and kudos to him, but let your play do the talking. Beat him first or win a major or two, and then tell him you own him...lol. This reminds of something like Starks with the Knicks calling out MJ in his prime. We all want someone to challenge Tiger, on and off the course to create some drama. I'll admit for those of us that golf around here, it had us talking at the gym this morning about wanting to watch these 2 today, but I didn't need to watch it after like the 4th or 5th hole.

Agreed. Glad I went back out and played nine more holes instead of watching everyone choke in Tiger's presence.

The guy sure comes off as a douche. He can dish it out, but can't take it:

Sabbatini took five to reach the green and made double bogey, and as he walked toward the 10th tee, a spectator said: "Hey, Rory, still think Tiger is beatable?"

Sabbatini turned and glared. He barked at a police officer and demanded -- with an obscenity thrown in -- that the fan be taken "out of here."

Not trying to change anyones opinion just letting you know mine. Form your own. It doesn't matter to me what others think at all. I am sure we all have friends others consider a "douchebag".

Jim, Go F*ck yourself. You are the undisputed "King of Douchebags". I have a feeling if I was to open the door to this so called "Social Club" I would find you with leather chaps and a ball gag in your mouth.

Now go home and get your f*cking shine box!!!

I think i can comment on this since I follow the tour. Rory is hated on by the majority of his competitors. He is brash, but I like it. He says whats on his mind. Go and read his press conferences they are great. He is a really streaky golfer and when he is on he can go low for a month.

Sabbatini is probably the kind of guy that is fun to hang out with for a few hours, just not a long time. He is the guy in the group that is not afraid to say anything to anyone, you don't always agree and he will say some stupid things, but he will also have some good results. He steps out on a limb and takes a chance. While I do not agree with it, you have to admire a guy that is willing to take some chances.

We all like what he says, even though you might not agree with it (and I do not). We all want drama and we all want some one to pony up to Tiger and piss him off from time to time. I will also say, that I guarantee Tiger likes it when others take shots at him. Yesterday is living proof

I really like Tiger and know that it is guys like Rory that makes him step up his game. I would not want to be another player in the field at the PGA after watching him yesterday. A wet course with that kind of rough and he shoots 5 under in the final round! OUCH!

I think Rory is ****stick. I worked at Copperhead for the PODS championship and he is a loser. I talked to a few caddies and he is not liked on tour. He walks around like he broke Jack's record in the majors.

Yesterday was a dream day for us Tiger fans. When someone opens their mouth and Tiger shoves it down their throats.

AKRON, Ohio -- Firestone always seems the perfect place for Tiger Woods to show his best stuff.

This year, the timing could not have been much better.

In the final event before the final major of the year, Woods buried Rory Sabbatini and the rest of the field Sunday at the Bridgestone Invitational for an eight-shot victory, sending his confidence soaring Sunday as he left for Southern Hills and the PGA Championship.

"This might just give me a little more confidence," Woods said.

It was a command performance on a challenging course, reminiscent of some of his major victories.

He was determined to play the final round without a bogey, just like the U.S. Open at Pebble Beach, and Woods showed more emotion over saving par with a 12-foot putt on the final hole than any of his birdies in his 5-under 65. He finished at 8-under 272.

He was the only player to finish under par at Firestone; the only other times he had done that were his two U.S. Open victories. And after turning a one-shot deficit into a six-shot lead on the front nine, Woods left everyone else playing for second.

"The whole idea was to win this event, but be playing well going into next week," Woods said. "I feel I made some nice strides this week, and I feel very good going into next week. ... I feel like I'm in better shape heading into this one than I do going into the last major."

Tiger Woods won twice on Sunday. First, it was the Bridgestone Invitational for the sixth time. Next, he's the inaugural winner of Who's Now, easily topping LeBron James in the finals of the 32-person, month-long bracket. Who's Now

Sabbatini took another step backward. The fiery South African lost a one-shot lead to Woods in the Wachovia Championship this year, then said Woods looked "beatable as ever."

Not on this course.

It was the second time Woods has strung together three straight victories at this World Golf Championship, and he tied a PGA Tour record by winning for the sixth time on the same course. Jack Nicklaus won six Masters at Augusta National, and Alex Ross won six times at the North & South Open at Pinehurst No. 2 at the turn of the 20th century. He also won for the 14th time in 25 tries at the World Golf Championships.

"This one felt good," Woods said.

Sabbatini closed with a 74, just as he did in the final group with Woods at Wachovia. Justin Rose saved par on the final hole for a 68 that left him tied for second. He thought he had a chance with four birdies through eight holes until he saw a leaderboard with Woods in firm control.

"I thought, 'Oh, well, we're playing for second,'" Rose said. "And obviously, that's what it turned out to be. Rory and I were in different situations today. For me, vying for second place was an exciting prospect. With Rory, maybe it's a slight letdown."

Woods started the final round one shot behind Sabbatini. When they made the turn as the rain began, white flags would have more appropriate than umbrellas. Sabbatini was shaken to the point that he ordered a spectator removed.

Woods essentially won by picking up five shots during a five-hole stretch on the front nine, but the ninth hole was absurd. Everyone in the final group was all over the map and headed for big numbers, with Woods the wildest.

He hooked his tee shot so far to the left the ball found the rough on the 10th fairway. Then he tried to slice his approach around the trees, only to drop from a branch and hit a 58-year-old woman in the arm, coming to rest in the crook of her arm. After taking a drop, Woods pitched over the green, then chipped in for par.

Soothing the sting was seeing his children standing by the 10th tee, and Sabbatini stooped and hugged them. Then he pulled his next tee shot into the rough and made another bogey, as Woods poured it on. Even with everything falling his way, Woods kept a straight face when he holed a chip from the front of the 12th green for his fifth birdie.

Still, this was over much sooner.

Sabbatini was having to work way too hard for pars early in the round. He hit his tee shot so far left on the par-5 second that his best option was to play up the third fairway. He ran into Stuart Appleby, who had just teed off on No. 3, and Sabbatini said to him, "Sorry, I screwed up." It was only later that he paid for it.

He saved par on the second, and after having to lay up short of the water on the par-4 third, saved par again. But his luck ended on the fourth when Sabbatini went into deep rough on the right, couldn't get back to the fairway, couldn't clear a bunker and had to chip to 4 feet to escape with bogey. Woods made an 18-foot birdie at No. 4 for a two-shot swing and his first outright lead.

Sabbatini came up short on the fifth and made bogey, then Woods poured in an 18-foot putt for birdie on the sixth.

"I spent too much of the day trying to hack the ball back out to the fairway," Sabbatini said. "And it made a long day."

Asked if he would temper his comments in the future, Sabbatini looked indignant.

"Why?" he said. "I hope I inspire him and play well enough that I can give him a good challenge."

Chris DiMarco picked up his first top-10 finish on the PGA Tour since he was runner-up to Woods at the British Open last summer at Hoylake, closing with a 70 to tie for fourth with Peter Lonard (68).

Andres Romero, the Argentine coming off his first European Tour victory in Germany, shot a 71 to tie for sixth and give him enough money to take PGA Tour membership next year if he wants it.

Woods earned $1.35 million for his 58th career victory. Since the start of the 2005 season, Woods has not gone more than five starts on the PGA Tour without winning.

After watching her husband warned twice for slow play in the opening round, Amy Sabbatini created a T-shirt with the words" "KEEP UP!" adhered to the front and wore it during the second round Friday.
Rory Sabbatini's wife sent a message to "all the turtles out there" on her t-shirt Friday. Rory Sabbatini's wife sent a message to "all the turtles out there" on her t-shirt Friday.

It was a message for "all the turtles out there," she said.

But it was mostly directed at Rory Sabbatini's playing partner, Nick Faldo, notoriously one of the most deliberate players on tour.

"I'm tired of the PGA Tour saying slow play has always been a problem and it's always going to be a problem," she said. "That's a B.S. excuse."

Amy Sabbatini has pulled a similar stunt before. Two years ago, she wore a T-shirt displaying the words "Stoopid Amerikan" at the World Cup in Spain after Paul Casey's anti-American comments following the Ryder Cup.

Rory Sabbatini supported her recent statement.

"There are some players who could certainly use some help with their pace of play," said Sabbatini, who became so fed up with the slow play of Ben Crane at the Booz Allen Classic last year that he finished playing the 17th hole before Crane even reached the green.

The PGA Tour implemented a new rule this year that allowed officials to start placing individuals on the clock instead of groups.

But Sabbatini, who missed the cut along with Faldo, said he believes the rule won't be enforced.

"If you put a sign on the highway saying there's a cop around the corner, it doesn't do a lot to slow down speeding," he said.

As for Faldo, he said he didn't notice the wording on Amy's black T-shirt until the last couple of holes. Even then, he said he thought it had something to do with sexual dysfunction.

"It is very embarrassing for them to bring their sexual problems to the golf course," Faldo quipped. "Poor fellow, he has enough problems as it is without her announcing to the world."

Faldo said Sabbatini "lost his head" while complaining to officials after being warned and then placed on the clock Thursday.

"I just don't know what his problem is," Faldo said.
