Play is UNDER 9.5-120. Yea, it's in Germany. Abraham is German; fight is in Berlin; he lives in Berlin. Oh, did I mention Gervor pretty much sucks? His last 4 "opponents" were of the scrub variety. I think his Highness can remove Gevor if so desired.

Have you ever seen Gevor go?

No. I reviewed the quality of his last five opponents. Bad. He is shorter than Abraham, and he sees fit to fight 6 and 8 rounders now and again. What happens when he faces a world class boxer who can crack a little? I think he is in quite a bit over his head. I may bet into this number even more once I recover from the beating I took this past w/e.

Gevor has been training with Sdunek, so he will probalby be in great shape.
His losses inside the distance have both been due to cuts as far as I know.

I'm not saying that he wont be stopped, but I would rather be careful with this one.

Thanks for the input. I see this as a mismatch due to the poor quality of opposition of Gevor. I feel Abraham is a very serious student of the game and is operating at a much higher level here. I may not go crazy with this, but I still think Abraham is quite capable of stopping a lesser foe here, be it on cuts or an accumulation of shots,

Gevor is not an opponent he comes to fight and Sdunek will tell him the right strategy which is without a doubt hit and run.
This is a duell between the two biggest german promoters Sauerland and Kohl. And also between the two most sucessfull trainers Wegner and Sdunek.
Sdunek has said in an interview that gevor will try to use his speed in this fight.
Also both Abraham and Gevor are Armenians.
What i can recall of gevor he is an agressive volume puncher.
If i had to bet this fight i would go with gevor at 600 or more.
The under is not a bad bet but it not one that i would make.
The weak points of Abraham are workrate and stamina and maybe foot speed. If Gevor fights smart with alot of hit and run he can sneak out a dec.

I recall a fight in which I thought Abraham was a lock for the under- ex welterweight Australian Shannan Taylor. Longtime Jr. Middle Jantuah also went the distance, but of course there is the Demers and Ikeke demoltions. I think your flipping a coin but you may simply see something we don't and can give us the ol told you so.

Sometimes my methodolgy is quite simple. In this case, when I see any guy that is used to fighting really low level competition, I take that as a guy, who as tony stated, doesn't come to fight. He comes to play catch me f**k me! Maybe his highness wants to put this imposter in his place. Gevor has fought incredible stiffs last 5 times out. I'm just a believer in class when it comes right down to it. Of course he may get cute and steal a W. I think Abraham can stop him at will.

Punch,
03-04-06... A date that will live in infamy. The sh1t really piled on that day! It happened to be on the same day Lacy got hammered by Zags. I remember discussing this one w/you at the time and we both thought Abraham would steam roll the Aussie. Taylor gets knocked the pucked out by several lesser fighters but somehow he found a way to survive 12 against Abraham. In his very next fight he gets stopped by MacKallip in 6. Go figure.

You guys have my freakin head spinning! But the discourse is welcome. Always appreciate divergent points of view. The suspense grows.
