There are a lot of UFC 74 threads (which is great!) but to make it easier for everyone may I suggest we all post our picks in this one thread!

ok here we go:

UFC Record (since UFC 58)
--------------------------------------

Prop Bet 1-3
Fighter versus Fighter 44-29
Parlays 18-16

+34.58 Joe Rogans

As almost everyone on here knows I have a man crush on GSP.......and as everyone also knows I placed a huge wager on GSP 2.5 months ago, the odds have gone way down since then (and I would think will continue to do so). He is currently at $1.41 (-245) and will probably be much lower by fight time!

So here are my picks so far..........will add more later:

Georges St. Pierre beat Josh Koscheck $1.63 *10 Joe Rogans :scared :scared :scared :scared

Yes that is not a typo.....there is no way and I mean no way GSP loses this fight....he already had his bad loss and will not take another to Koscheck. I don't care what Koscheck says about his "secret plan" he aint taking GSP down...he just aint :nono:

here are some thoughts from GSP latest press conference:

-He wanted to face a top contender, not any other welterweight.
-No excuses for loss vs. Serra. Saw sports psychologist who told him that the best team/fighter doesn?t always win, it?s whoever fights the best.
-Feels he is newer, better and will show it versus Josh Koscheck.
-Feels that fighting not as a champion again is the best thing that could have happened to him.
-Felt that winning title happened somewhat quickly, and now realizes how motivated he is to win again.
-He knows what Koscheck is good at despite having taken down Sean Sherk (did not clarify if he will plan on taking down another wrestler).
-He has a new manager (Stephane Patry is out) and a better entourage around him.
-Not worried about the fight.

I like where GSP mind is at....bottom line he aint losing.....and yes I'm going to go there.....yep I'm going to click on this icon.....:padlock: yes...that's right I did it :com:

also....it won't be long before GSP is holding this:

:00x23

GSP will beat him like a :rimshot

I also am taking:

Antoni Hardonk to beat Frank Mir $2.45 *1 Joe Rogan

Patrick Cote to beat Kendall Grove $3.00 *1 Joe Rogan

Frank Mir just plain sucks now, yes Hardonk isn't exactly burning up the UFC but I'll take the underdog odds in this one. As for Cote, he pretty much has to win to stay in the UFC, I'll take a desperate fighter at big odds thank ya very much :00x9

I went with Gonzaga and GSP. One thing i will never understand with you guys is the desperate fighter theory on how someway it makes the fighter better:shrug: to me it makes them a little to eager. You see it in boxing all the time. The desperate fighter seems to always lose. I think you can put Tito in that category last fight. He didn't get better because he needed that fight. He fought the same way. If he didn't grab the fence ten times he would have lost. Just my opinion of course. I don't think this GSP fight is gonna be a cake walk by any means. My fear is that i just bet a guy with a glass jaw. Hopefully not.

GSP don't have a glass jaw. if you watch the Serra fight again the initial punch that messed him up was in the back of the head. After that punch messed him up he got bashed. Not to mention Serra can hit a bit. he almost KO'ed parisian in the first round as well but Parisian was able to survive and outwork Serra in rounds 2 and 3.

You know what tho i just read something real disturbing about GSP and Koscheck has picked up on it. Just some weird things he did after beating Hughes. Looks like he didn't even train and now is seeing a psychologist. I might have bet someone with a glass head instead of a glass jaw. Man i need the real GSP to show up not some egg shell head.

GSP -233 1.5units (makes 2 total)have .5 at -211

The Natural +116 .5unit
Mir -167 .5unit
Pellegrino +248 .5unit
Aurelio +123 .5unit

I've made a living off of Mir's last few fights but I see this one being easy for him. Hardonk hasn't shown that he's hard to take down and if it does go to the ground it won't last very long. Mir isn't what he was but his BJJ is more than Hardonk will be able to handle. Just hope there's not a one punch or kick KO!

May add more on Randy come Sat but I'll wait. If somehow he can win round 1 or 2, I think he'll win the fight. 4 and 5 are his if he can make it there.

I like boxing more than MMA. I can watch MMA though. I think Aurelio and Heath are good bets.

i grabbed aurelio at the nice doggie odds......tried to post yesterday, but,my computer crashed.....

i`ll say this,though...i just love watching guida fight...he`s a fricking buzzsaw......i can`t even imagine this guy in a bad fight....i won`t be upset if he wins....what a fan-friendly fighter....

i`m hoping that maybe aurelio can use guida`s aggressiveness against him and catch him in a sub.....

so far i have gsp parred with a few things....i`m waiting on gonzaga to go down....

and aurelio....

it`s just insane that practically the whole card is a toss-up....even the guys that are hovering in the -2/3/400 vicinity are in tough....

i laid the -120 on gonzaga at oly........no sense waiting around....the more i look at this, the more i like gonzaga....

i don`t see randy subbing gonzaga......and i think he`ll struggle with the bigger, stronger man on the ground.....

is randy gonna wrestle this big s.o.b. down and punish him?..maybe...but,i really don`t see it...

randy`s stand-up was very good vs sylvia.... maybe that`s his plan....he probably has an advantage on his feet....

and the more i look at it,the more koschek worries me.....

really uncomfortable watching little matt serra punch gsp out...he put a beatin` on him....

still on gsp...like everybody else....could go 0-fer....this card`s that tough...

Just washed half of my gsp wager. Getting those same vibes as you. Kos just has a ton of confidence for my liking. Its one thing to have a lot and you sucked but this kid may be the future. Im still on GSP but lighter than originally. Weasel look at these weighins from yesterday. I took Mir thinking he is in pretty good shape and may once again be serious. Also took the dog (lightly) in the match where the other fellow had trouble making weight. Ill show you in bold letters.

Event ? UFC Heavyweight Championship
Gabriel Gonzaga (252) vs Randy Couture (228.5)

Josh Koscheck (170) vs Georges St-Pierre (170)
Joe Stevenson (155) vs Kurt Pellegrino (155)
Kendall Grove (184) vs Patrick Cote (184.5)
Alberto Crane (155) vs Roger Huerta (155)

David Heath (205) vs Renato ?Babalu? Sobral (204)
Frank Mir (255) vs Antoni Hardonk (244)
Thales Leites (186*) vs Ryan Jensen (185)
Marcus Aurelio (155) vs Clay Guida (155)

*Leites made weight after originally weighing in at 188 pounds.

Adding:

Cote +216 (2 units) Tip from a friend of mine who knows him well. I was kinda surprise first he said Cote would win but he told me it wont even be close!!! :scared I would love to see odds for TKO 30 in Montreal next month as my friend is training with some fighters and have some nice insight... :SIB

Mir -166 (2 units)
I cant convince myself that he is finished... If he lose that one..... bye bye Mr. Mir...

Wait the line to drop more and will add more on GSP.... :SIB He is going to win guy... :)

Clay won by split decision.

Disapointingly, I picked Clay to win on layinwood's thread, but didn't bet on that fight.
