I think this line is less than a touchdown now because Stroughter is out. He was the Beavers leading receiver last year, with more than 800 yards between him and the 2nd receiver.

This may have people leaning towards Utah, but they have a very weak secondary and are only returning 5 starters on defense. Canfield should be able to get into a rhythm with Bernard having his way with the Utes defense. There is no doubt that Utah will see a heavy dose of Bernard and I think he will have a huge start to the season with over 200 yards rushing and a couple TD's.

I definitely see Oregon State winning by double digits at home to a Utah team who lost quite a few players from last years team.

Navy -21

Was leaning towards Navy after actually seeing the Owls play in person last year and got a real feel for how awful this team was, but after Box's write up, decided to pull the trigger. I think he is dead on that theres no way Temple will stop the rush attack vrs a Navy team that ran for over 300 ypg last year. Bought the hook at betED as it was 21.5

The only reason Temple scored a TD was because of a fumble return they got off a failed option by Navy....they only really had 1 good drive which resulted in a FG....If Navy cant cover this 8.5 they wont cover the game spread either. Lets go Mids

well Navy really sucked big time after going up 14-0 early and they lost it for me....

I love the Ducks here......lots of hype up at Autzen and Houston is going to have a rough time with a brand new starter taking his 1st start in Autzen. Oregon offense will be very good this year as long as Stewart stays healthy. Think Oregon could win in a game similar to Mich St./UAB....lets go Ducks

I like Texas Tech tomorrow but have not made a play yet....they run a system offense and losing some of their WRs wont matter much as they still have their star QB and more WRs to throw into the mix. They have a very good recruit in Crabtree who is a redshirt freshman now and was a highly touted 4 start prospect coming out of high school. Learning the offense last year, I think hes ready to step up. The Raiders also return Woods who had 75 catches for 572 yards last year. I dont think the WRs lost will be much of a factor as it was the QB delivering the ball. (Harrell completed 66.8% and put up 4,555 yards, 39 TD, 11 INT) I dont think SMU stadium will be rockin too much as this is a day game on labor day so not sure how many people will be there. I also dont think SMU stadium is ever really "rockin", so its unlikely the crowd will be a factor for the Raiders. These two teams played last year as the last game of the season and the Raiders won 35-3. SMU may be returning starters, but it is SMU. They do not have the best athletes to begin with. Lets remember that SMU is competing against Texas Tech, Texas A&M, TCU, and Texas for the top prized instate recruits. They get the slim pickings after those power schools are done.

Still deciding on whether or not I will be playing the Raiders at -8 tomorrow

I know they are returning the QB and a few receivers but my worry is only one lineman returns against an SMU D that has 7 returning starters.May not get that much time.Just my thoughts.Along with revenge for the beat down last year I am siding with SMU but GL.Nice start to the season.
