YTD: 1-0 +$500

Grabbed Va Tech +13 tonight, will decide how much I play it for during the week, but don't see the number getting much better. Will post my reasoning later, wanted to lock into this number.

I am also going to jump on this asap. I am having a hard time seeing LSU win this game unless the OL steps it up huge from the outing last week. Not sure it can happen based on the injuries plaguing OG Will Arnold and the inexperience of OT Carnell Stewart.

I'm really suprised this line is double digits, but I guess the 45-0 win compared to the 17-7 impacted the line greatly. Either way I'll take it, this is a good spot for Va Tech backers.

Interesting games guys...one I can't wait to watch. Before the season started I had planned on taking Va Tech. But LSU really impressed me at State and Va Tech struggled with ECU, which didn't surprise me tho. I think the emotional setting might have actually worked against Tech also. I was really impressed with ECU's defense. I look for Va Tech to have a better effort but I just felt there's to much difference in the QB play to back them although they are still very tempting. I'm hoping for an LSU win but will be pulling for you to cover BM.

I did not like the LSU play selection at all LW.

Wasn't refering to the play selection Cie...just meant I think Flynn is a lot cooler under pressue than Glennon...and they both will get plenty of pressure from the opposing D's. And I do think LSU did a good job in replacing their OC.

fwiw...my thinking on Michigan...if their D can't get up for this one...then they may never get up the rest of the year. Oregon did have an impressive margin of victory over Houston...bear with me, I don't have my tablet with me...but I won't to think the Ducks gave up over 300 rushing yards to Houston :scared and my' feel' is not as good for teams west of the Mississippi, but I do know Oregon can be a totally different team playing at home vs on the road...I have found out the hard way.

Houston ran all over Oregon, a big chunk coming from a 60 yard run and the RB also had an 80 yard screen.....will be interesting to see how Michigan handles Dennis Dixon as he is very similar to App St.'s QB

Just my .02 worth, which is what it is worth.

Speed kills, as witnessed by App. St.

Oregon has more speed than App. St.

Oregon has better athlete's than App. St. AND is
better coached. I probably won't touch this game
because of the emotions involved with Mich. but
laying 8.5 against a much faster and well coached
team is

Good point(s) Kramer...but I just think it is the wrong time to be playing Michigan...Maybe we shouldn't be so hard on them and just be thankful 'our' team wasn't playing App St Saturday.

Completely agree cruncher, App. St. could beat
MANY Div. 1 teams, MANY, all I'm sayin is Mich.
was exposed as the SLOW team that it is and
has been. Look at the last 3 games they've
played, they ran up against speed and got
blown out. They have SLOW team speed.
That chit don't cut it in today's college game.
And Oregon has speed. I wouldn't touch this
game with a ten foot pole, especially given the
line. Don't get me wrong crunch, I'm not trying
to argue or think you are wrong, I just don't see
this game as a betable game. Hey, discussion is a
good thing. :toast:

Yes it is, and I'm glad you guys brought it up. I agree with you, as I look deeper, there are better places to invest my money this week.

Personally I think Hart is going to tear Oregon apart, he actually looked very good last week, was probably the one bright spot for Michigan.

The team speed issue is a huge one, I agree. I watched every play of the Michigan game last week, and they are a slow plodder as a group, and Oregon is going to fly around the field in comparison.

My gut says Michigan makes a statement here, hell they have to, but this isn't worth the risk to wager on it.

i wouldn't judge lsu's offense by their play calling last week. i just think they were basically saving their best for this weekend. i think you can judge their play selection after this game.

although i think mich. will have problems with their defense in the early part of the year, i wouldn't put much credence in the michigan loss. i think they were flat for this game & woke up too late.i think i'm leaning to michigan also.

i tend to agree.i had oregon last week & watched the whole game.oregon showed against houston that they have a defense that has very poor tackling techniques. i don't know if it was opening game jitters or what but they didn't wrap around. in addition this game is at michigan where they play on grass, i qurestion whether oregon's speed will be neutralized.

good discussion guys..

good discussion guys..

Very nice discussion.......would like to see CWood weigh in on this one as my initial thoughts were Michigan, but then heard on the way home from work that they were the first team to be ranked in the top 5 or 10 (don't recall) to drop out of the AP entirely.

Does this mess with their heads too much or do they forget about ASU and think "hey we can still win the Big 11?"

No doubt. I would also be surprised if Keiland Williams doesn't get the bulk of the carries this week.
