Professional football is back

Pre-Season +10 units

100 unit goal for NFL and CFB - will start record anew

ATL ML +150

I know I'm not alone in the thinking that the Falcons might just be better off with a pocket passer on the field instead of conVICKt - certainly feel like I'm going into battle here with the better of the 2 qb's on display at the Metrodome - Falcons have something to prove and a new coach who is a huge upgrade from Mora Jr IMO - added wr presence in Horn and a 2nd year rb in Norwood who seems ready to explode

CLE +7.5 -150

Not quite sure why public seems to think that Tomlin instead of Cowher will = a great year from the Steelers - actually not sure that is everyone's feeling but I'm not so sure the Steelers' rise from last year's mediocrity will be so mercurial - have to think the Brownies will be improved with the seemingly upgraded D and OL - Jamal Lewis looks really good and it won't hurt Frye to have a season under his belt - looking for a close, low-scoring game and wouldn't be at all surprised if the Brown's got the SU

CAR ML +110

Pretty simple analysis here:

The gap between Car and the Rams' offense is not near as wide as the gap b/t the Panthers and Rams' defensive units (if said gap b/t O's exists at all) - unless that is DC Haslett has turned it around in St Louis - I'll take my chances as far as that is concerned

JAX -325 / -7

Not a big fan of laying big wood but this game has blowout written all over it - tumultuous offseason for the Titans with all of the Pac Man bs - also lose Henry and insert a guy in White who may not be ready for prime-time as his work ethic has been questioned from day 1 - a couple of puzzling stunts from Vince in the offseason as well - loss of Jones big for the Titan D as well as the special teams unit - Jags know their window is getting shorter and generally don't have a problem getting up early in the season anyway - clarity at QB position has to clear up some of the murk in Jax as everyone can just concentrate on football now - D absolutely flies around at home and will be stronger with multiple players returning from injury-plagued seasons - with these factors combined with the fact that the JJ's will be seeking revenge from their last meeting and the defending SB champs are on deck for the Titans, I see no way in hell that the Jags lose this game

CHI +7.5 -120 / ML+250

Tons of people jumping on the SD bandwagon, presumably b/c Marty is out and ol' Norv Turner is roaming the Charger sidelines - now don't get me wrong, Marty can screw up a wet dream and I think it may have been time to move on, but Turner's career as a HC isn't going to land him in the HOF or anything - also gone is DC Phillips so a lot to learn out west, not so sure they will be firing on all cylinders out of the gate - Bears, on the other hand, have a lot to be optimistic about early - a year under the belt will make Grossman a better QB, and he will have a couple of new weapons on O with Hester and RB Wolfe who seems like he is very fast - RB situation is cleared up and Benson is the man - return of Harris on D big for the Bears, as is the fact that SD is in a look-ahead situation with the Patriots on deck (remember NE knocked the Chargers out of the playoffs LY)

Playing:

2.5 units ATL ML +150
2.5 units CLE +7.5 -150

4.95 unit parlay

JAX ML -325 / CAR ML +110 / CHI +7.5 -130

to win 19.1 units - may hedge a bit w/ SD -5.5 if 1st 2 look good

And as always, gl to all no matter which sides you choose
