College football was a little below average. Hopefully the beginning of the NFL season can produce some nice profits.
KC +3.5 (-115) for 5* & 1st half +2 for 3*, ML +165 for 3* - KC still has the best weapons on the field in LJ and Tony Gonzalez. Chiefs have also never lost at Houston, but did suffer a painful loss to the Texans a few years ago @ home. However, the Chiefs have played great @ Houston blowing out the Texans in their two previous games @ Reliant.
St. Louis Pick for 5* & 1st half Pick for 2* - Rams have a lot of offensive weapons and if they can contian Steve Smith, I like their chances today. Steven Jackson is going to be in the running for NFL MVP IMO. He gets started running through the Panthers today.
Miami +4 (-130) for 4* - Points will be limited in this matchup so grabbing the points with the Fish makes sense to me. Miami has the better defense and Green is the more polished QB.
Tennessee +8 for 3* - Not sure why this line is so high although the Titans defensively will be a sieve. I still think Vince Young keeps the Titans in this game enough to cover. I know Jaguars crushed the Tits at home last season, but winning by over 8 points is never easy this early in the year.
Philly -2.5 (-125) for 3* - Should be a close game, but I like Philly to win this game. Favre is too damn old and McNabb should be anxious to get 2007 off to a winning start. Packers also have questionable running game.
Buffalo +3.5 (-115) for 3* - Broncos have lost their past two openers on the road as chalk. Same situation and same outcome is likely today IMO. Buffalo does appear weak defensively, but not sure young Cutler will exploit them. Losman is due to have a nice season and hopefully Lynch can run on the Donkeys today.
Pittsburgh -5 for 4* - Game could be played in rough conditions which favors the better running team... this would be the Steelers as their OL is solid and Parker is tough to handle. Cleveland has a patchwork OL and their running game is below NFL standards. Frye is nothing special @ QB having thrown for 10 TD's and 17 INT's last season:scared
Viqueens -3 for 3* - Tough to get excited about Minnesota, but facing Harrington is always nice for the opposition. Minnesota should play well enough to win and hopefully cover. I like Peterson to make a statement in the season opener as well.
Jets +7 (-120) for 4* - I know NE is the second coming and they are favorites to win the Super Bowl and heck, they just beat the Jets 37-16 in last year's playoff game. Blah-blah, I'm not buying it. Jets won @ NE last season and only lost by 7 at home. Give me the live home doggie out for some revenge. Seymour and Harrison are injured for NE as well. NE isn't the same team without Seymour.
