7-5 last week

Nothing locked in yet...as was last week, I may not end up playing all of the games that I analyze. This is where I'm at on these games right now...

A couple of leans with brief analysis:

Maryland +17

West Virginia is probably my least favorite team to bet against. Reference last week as a perfect example. WV is 6-1 ATS the last 2 years as a road favorite and 9-3 ATS in their last 12 road games. However, Maryland and the Fridge seem to fare well against WV. Maryland is 5-2 ATS in the last 7 vs. the Mountaineers. They are also 4-1 ATS AND 4-1 SU vs. WV in the last 5 games when they play at home. Combine that w/ Maryland being 8-2 ATS in their last 10 and 8-1 SU in their last 9 home games and I think that the Terps have a good shot to stay within the number.

Tennessee +8

Florida has some issues going into this game against the Vols this week...firstly, their two star WR's have injury problems. Andre Caldwell is listed as expected to miss the game and Percy Harvin is listed as questionable after limited duty last week. Secondly, Florida hasn't played anyone yet. They beat up on a Div. II school and Troy last week while Tennessee has been testing their mettle against the likes of a road game at Cal and So. Miss last week. The home team in this series is just 2-5 SU in the last 7 games. Also, 6 out of the last 9 games in the series have been decided by less than 4 points. Florida is just 7-13-1 ATS playing as a favorite under Urban Meyer. Over the same timespan under Meyer, Florida is just 4-11-2 ATS vs. SEC opponents. And to add to that, Florida is 6-10-1 ATS under Meyer coming off of a SU win. Tennessee is 8-3 ATS as an underdog over the last 3 years. Florida had 11 penalties last week totalling 104 yards. The Gators may lack some focus coming off of a championship winning '06 season, their confidence could be a bit swelled after stomping 2 far inferior opponents to what they face this week, and the Vols coming into this game with a major chip on their shoulder looking to prove that they can play w/ anyone after their big loss to Cal leads to a UT cover.

more to come...

Just an fyi, the vols are w/o a starting CB. True frosh will start at CB after being switched over from safety. I like Vols too. GL:weed:

it's gonna be tough for a freshman playing in possibly the most hostile environment in college football. florida isn't gonna have Caldwell tho so that will help. i'm still undeterred...thanks for the heads up cie...go vols
