He was asked, DO YOU FEEL THAT THE IRAQ WAR IS MAKING AMERICA SAFER ? He replied with an answer that had nothing to do with the question. He was asked again and he replied something to the effect : sir , I don't know... HE WENT ON TO SAY SOMETHING ABOUT HE HAS NOT SAT DOWN & SORTED IT OUT IN HIS MIND. I know DTB & my friend the bitch won't dig this transcrit up. Look it up, it's not even funny.... I thought GW said that we are fighting them over there so that we don't have to fight them over younder. ..... This was no left wing dope smoking gay senator asking the question. It was the Sen from Virginia, a real AMERICAN. REPUBLICAN JOHN WARNER, FORMER ARMED SERVICE COMMITTEE HEAD. This general was sent up that hill to cover GW's ass and save His war, and he doesn't know if this war is making us safer ? If He doesn't know, who the f--k does ? Think about it !

He (Petraeus)just needs ten more years or so of US occupation and he should be able to provide that answer.

...........................................................

He did not answer because if he said yes, and some terroist attack happened anytime soon,
Petraeus would not be able to run for President in 2012.

Its all about politics. Its a sad state of affairs.

I'm pretty certain that no matter how he answered, that you'd be howling.

If he said 'yes', then 'LIAR, LIAR, BUSH PUPPET.'

If he said 'no', then 'SEE, SEE, I KNEW IT! BUSH IS LYING.'

So he gives an honest answer of 'I don't know', and you're still going nuts.

Jeez.

The no answer was as good as a no.

Stevie,

My opinion is also that 'no' is the right answer, but it's an answer that's pretty hard to quantify, for anybody.

I was surprised and pleased that he didn't give the party line answer of 'yes' that i'm sure Bush desperately wanted.

I'm not howling, I don't care what his answer is or was..... I know the answer is NO. I don't need him or Bush to tell me what I know, maybe you do. How could he not know ??? Do you really believe in your heart that He doesn't know ??? This a General, we are talking about. He said He doesn't know because the answer GW wanted him to give would have been a lie. If this General doesn't know, He should back up his shit and go home ! It's his business to know !

I'm sorry if I go "nuts" when the General in charge of this mess confirms for me that we are wasting time , money and life if the objective is to make America safer with this war. Let me break it down for you..... I don't know, means NO !!!! This is a General, a "leader " a man that should understand the history of wars. He hasn't sat down and thought about it ????? Can you swallow that ????

I agree with you. Imagin if he had the scak to say No. Imagin if Powell had the sack to tell the truth earlier. We would be much better off.

I called Powell out long ago in this forum... would love to go back and read it myself. He will have to take his failure to step up before this war started to his grave. I think he was one of the few people that could have changed the course of history.

Again, HOW THE F*CK do you quantify something like that? We all have our opinions. Mine is the same as yours. But wtf?

How could he not know? HOW THE F*CK could anybody 'know?' General or not. President (God help us)? What's wrong with you?

I don't need him or Bush to tell me what I know, maybe you do.

'Maybe' YOU'RE just as f*cking idiotic as sponge (doubtful, but possible) who continually makes statements like this.

I need Bush to tell me what I know? :mj07:

You two(yeah, sponge, that's you-the other one) totally clueless assholes apparently have no idea how to deal with somebody who totally despised and despises the Iraq occupation, both before and after, but is being fair with ongoing events/situations. Using my own mind. Try it.

Somehow I get 'sponge' continually telling me that I get all my info from FOX and now this from our resident, ummm, psycho, suggesting that I need W to tell me 'what I know.'

Christ.

I stand by thoughts ! I can't believe this Gen does not know. Why doesn't he know ? It's his business to know. I don't know of any thinking person with 1/2 a mind that would believe that he has not thought about the safety of America in relation to this war. He did't just say He didn't know, He said he hasn't sat down and sorted it out in his mind. If that's true we need a different Top Gen...... Blast from the past..... do you remember former Top Gen Shoomaker..... He was asked in July of 2006 : was America winning the war in Iraq.... He said : We are not losing, That is like slick willy taking about the definition of is. He went on to say that we are closer to the beginning than the end. Let me translate that for you. Is America winning the war ? No ....Maybe you can swallow this BS..... I'm not ! go to you tube and look at the good Gen. testimony.

Your question is one that is posed to prove a point. I have never voted for a democrat for president, so why ask me this ?

To things the Bushieeee were always good at. Stealing elections and hiring lapdogs with no balls to stand up to these rotten fuks. These lapdogs will stand up when the neocons have no more use for them. The guilt finally gets to them. To late for my taste. Stevie move-on. org has balls and this is what the neocons hate the most. Someone to challenge these rotten fukers. These neocons are so use to getting everything they want since they were a child, that they cry fowl when someone stands up to them. Then you have your clowns around here who won't digest what they said and just cry fowl along with the neocons because that is what Fox News and the NY Post brainwashes them into thinking. Where is my check book? Its time to send these guys with balls a donation. At least i will know my money will give me some bang for my buck instead of throwing it away on some phony politician.

I might vote for Obama because He's a man of color .. I believe a Black President would change the way America is perceived & viewed in the world. I also think it would change the way Americans feel about America. I think a Black President could cure allot of apathy. It would be a major shake up. I think we are in a time and place similar to the Carter days.... Reagan came in and made Americans feel good about America again. I think Obama could do this for the part of America that needs to be lifted up so that the Country as a whole can succeed. I don't see anything in my party worth voting for and I could never vote for Hillary or Edwards. I believe an Obama Presidency would make all the races look at themselves and others in a way that they have never done before. It would be a new day in America, a new day for America around the world. Talk about an outsider, what's more out side the box, than a Black American President ? It's time !

Does this make you feel safer--Liberals/ACLU and Muslim advocacy groups team up against federal gov--

My question is who is :00hour more--liberals or Al-Quada

SANTA ANA, Calif. (AP) - The ACLU and Muslim advocacy groups sued the FBI and the Justice Department on Tuesday, alleging that authorities failed to turn over records detailing suspected surveillance of the Muslim-American community.

The complaint, filed in U.S. District Court in Santa Ana, alleges that the FBI has turned over only four pages of documents to community leaders, despite a Freedom of Information Act request filed more than a year ago.

The request sought records that described FBI guidelines and policies for surveillance and investigation of Muslim religious organizations, as well as specific information about FBI inquiries targeting 11 groups or people.

The lawsuit states that all the plaintiffs?who include some of the most prominent Muslim leaders in California?have reason to believe they have been investigated by the FBI since January 2001.

?It sends a message that Muslim-Americans have been, and continue to be, cooperating with law enforcement, but they?re concerned there might be a disproportionate focus ... on their religious practices,? said Ranjana Natarajan, an ACLU attorney.

One plaintiff, Shakeel Syed, said that his organization and others have spent three years building a relationship with the FBI but that the agency?s resistance to the request was troubling. ?I think it is in the best interests of the government to come clean and be transparent and forthright,? said Syed, executive director of the Islamic Shura Council of Southern California. ?This is a credibility issue.? ...

The FBI responded to the request first by saying it couldn?t identify any records that met the criteria requested. After an appeal, the agency turned over four pages that dealt with the Council of American- Islamic Relations and Hussam Ayloush, the council?s executive director for Southern California.

Those documents dealt with a suspected hate crime at a mosque that the council had reported to the FBI and a conversation Ayloush had with an FBI agent about cooperating with federal law enforcers, Natarajan said.

--and on subject of common goals-- new Al-quada video out today--

"The latest tape is an 80-minute compilation including old audio clips from bin Laden, comments by Qaeda fighters and clips of Western analysts and officials. Zawahri gives what appears to be a new commentary, explaining how the United States was being defeated by Muslims around the world.

"What they claim is the strongest power in the history of mankind is today being defeated in front of the Muslim vanguard of jihad six years after New York and Washington," said Zawahri, who was wearing a white turban and speaking in front of a packed bookcase. An assault rifle leant against it."

My question is--do you think Harry Reid and liberals have a case to sue Bin Laden and Zawahri for plagerism:SIB
