I don't know, but the fact that your magic can help get a guy named Reamer elected speaks volumes. Alan is right, you must really know your politics!

MOSCOW (AP) - Russian tennis player Dmitry Tursunov said he was approached several times with offers of bribes to fix matches, a newspaper reported Friday.

"I was approached in Madrid in the middle of the season last year, and at some other tournament," Tursunov told the daily Izvestia.
The 29th-ranked Tursunov, who played on the Russian team that beat Germany in the Davis Cup semifinals last weekend, refused to say how much he was offered or give more details.

Another Russian, Nikolay Davydenko, is under scrutiny after a British online gambling company tracked bettors putting 10 times the usual amount of money on a match he played in August. Davydenko has denied any involvement in gambling.

On Thursday, two Belgian players said they had been approached to take bribes to lose matches. One player said one of the bribes was for a match at Wimbledon in 2005.............................................................

Well let's see.....so far for the NFL this weekend we have about 5 games that are lopsided in terms of betting: Pitt over Ariz., G.B. over Minny, Houston over Atl., Dallas over St. Louis and Indy over Denver. And out of those five games, two are EXTREMELY lospsided, with almost ALL bets on one side: Green Bay and Dallas. HOWEVER, if you take a closer look at the Green Bay game, you will see that although most of the bets are on G.B. against the spread, more bets are actually on Minny on the moneyline! (This is assuming that the numbers on vegasinsider.com is accurate) This is not that surprising, however, considering the very low spread and the fact that G.B. and Minny are division rivals. The Dallas/St. Louis game, on the other hand, doesn't seem to have a moneyline, since Dallas is so heavily favored. If G.B. bettors win ATS, at least the books make it back on the majority who backed Minny on the moneline. However, if St. Louis fails to cover, the books will take a HUGE hit! And Vegas never loses. Therefore, if any game were to be 'fixed' this weekend in the NFL, it would have to be the Dallas/Stl game! No one could ever imagine a lowly team like the Rams (with Jackson out and Bulger banged up to make matters worse) keeping up against the red hot Cowboys at home! So my guess would be that this is the 'fix' this weekend and Romo is on the take!

So am I right, or what?????

Romo is a Christian. He can't be bought.:SIB

Oh well, at least it sounded like a cool possible conspiracy theory.....and I think I will still put a little something on Stl. +13.....you can't go wrong with taking over 10 points in the NFL, right?

Just thought of another possible conspiracy game, where there is lopsided betting on both spread and ML : Pitt over Arizona! So maybe Roethlisberger is on the take? :mj07:
