the Angels +155 over Boston. Taking a chance but I think with their starting pitching and solid bullpen and the way they can manufacture runs and not depend on the long ball I think they have a chance. Lackey, Escobar and Jered Weaver just seems to rate a little higher than what Boston has. Both are great teams but I don't see that much difference that Boston should be that heavy of a favorite. Beckett, Matsuzaka, and Schilling.....what are you talking about. LA's pitching may be close to Boston's, but no way does it rate higher than 3 of the best pitchers in the AL. The line is a bit high on Boston, but they have the experience and the drive. Add that all to homefield acvantage and I say Boston wins in 4, but could easily go to 5, still LAA won't take it. They are a great team and I followed them closely (hoping my mariners could pass them), but they don't have the all around talent Boston has.
Hmm...Escobar was better than Beckett all year but didn't get the press. Lackey is good but I'm not crazy about him. Matzusaki is just overrated in my opinion. He is good but his era has been around 4 all year. Angels are no slouch and they can hit the ball. Jered Weaver is pretty reliable. Schilling hasn't been that great and is not what he used to be. Boston very well could win the series and should win it but I will take my chances at the nice price.

IT is the playoffs now.... go back and watch beckett and florida winning the world series....that kid is a machine as we saw in game 1....another brilliant game last night as well.
