So is Balty -3.5 a trap?

I'm not a big believer in Baltimore, and I know SF isn't nearly as bad as they looked last week, but shouldn't the Ravens cover this?

My biggest reason for thinking so is watching Trent Dilfer last week. This guy is an absolute fossil and has no business being in the league anymore. I think he's going to throw out his hip every time he drops back to pass. I suppose if Gore has a huge game and the defense really steps up they have a chance, but all signs point to Balty for me?

There isn't such thing as a "trap game" at least in my opinion.

and YES Baltimore should cover that number as long as both the "O" & "D" can put up a combined 20 pts.

To be honest, I usually don't concern myself too much with lines, I just try to pick the right side. However, I think there are times that the linemakers put up lines to entice you to bet a particular side.

Wisky +2.5 in college yesterday is a great example. How many people looked at that line and jumped on it because Wisky was ranked #5, playing an unranked opponent, and GETTING points?

dont know? to me looked like wash was the trap of the day.line opened too low

I think the line was so low because Detroit is getting a lot more credit than they deserve, IMO. Their most impressive victory was week 1 against da Raaaaaaaaiiiiiiiders. They've also beaten Minny and Chicago, who both look pretty weak this year. And now they've gotten pasted by Philly and Wash. I'm curious to see how their season shakes out, but I still think they're a 7-8 win team at best.

I'm telling you, it's amazing that Trent Dilfer is still in the NFL. You mean to tell me the Niners don't have a better backup than Dilfer???

"the bunker"
i`m watching this thing that`s passing as a football game on t.v.....and it`s almost a sin that frank gore will have to waste three or four of his prime years with this pathetic bunch.....

feel safe.....the ravens...as pathetic as their own "5 yards per pass" offense is,will wear the niners down and cover the number....

I stayed away actually. Let's face it, the Ravens are pretty pathetic too. And it's a road game for them. It all comes back to Dilfer though. How do you NOT bet against a team that has Dilfer as their QB?
