BC(-14) over nd
big play
tremendous value in this play as this is the best qb nd has faced to date. the nd secondary is not good and they are vuilt for hitting not covering deep. yes nd is off a win and sky high but they get usc next weekend and a very good bc team now. you look at what purdue did to nd through the air and you would have to think bc has the same type of out put. to see this number at 14 is a shock, nd beat a banged up bruins team. bc is scoring 35 per game and giving 18 which is still 7 more than nd averages. nd has a good defense which will make things even harder for a bad nd offense. bc has 2 running backs that will continue to pound nd and fresh running backs will hurt nd late becuase they get very tired playing so much defense. ryan is a very good qb, completely underrated and the best qb in college. he has a 139.4 qb rating and 15 tds on the year. too much for nd to stop, they will be on their heels all day and the bc defense hold nd to a low number.

VT(-13.5) over Duke
the dukies are playing tough football but they arre playing teams that are not focused on them rather what is coming. duke has played uva, navy, miami and wake all tough and beat n'western. now they get vt off an emotional clemson win where defense and special teams did most of the work. the fack duke has played teams tough should get vt ready to show up defensively against them. duke makes a lot happen through the air and i think vt secondary will take alot of that passing away. the reason i like this play is the struggles on offense. the hokies HAVE to come focused on offense because they have not produced at all with the ball. this team has relied on defense and needs to right that ship for big games to come. the vt offense should get a nice tune up against a defense allowing 35 plus points per game. yes 14 is a big number to spot a hard fighting no quit duke team at home but VT is in no shape to look ahead and i a. sure the coaching staff and film study have been a reminder for taylor and a poor offense to take this game seriously. Plus you have to take into consideration the hungry defense, they want to shut down every team and duke is no exception. The defense aggressiveness, the offense needing tuned up, special teams, coaching and dukes better play should get VT up and ready for this important ACC game.

Also on it. 140 yds of offense and Clausen had all day to throw. He's got the tools, but is having a tough time throwing without people being wide open which is why he forces the fly route into 3 man coverage.

Boston College, ND's ugly step brother, won't let up once their up either. It's not their nature

If Duke has been covering because they have been playing teams looking ahead or unfocused what makes you think Virginia Tech won't be unfocused off of their big revenge road win at Clemson? Virginia Tech won by 7 against North Carolina and 10 vs. East Carolina. They haven't looked very good in the favorite role this year and with them off of a big road win, I think it's going to be hard for them to focus here.

OH
thanks for the kind words guy
right side....head to head on both games..might be bad news for me...gl this week.

bbc glad to see you oh bc

mister covers you are right, vt should be looking ahead, they just won an emotional game on the road and now the go to duke. those are solid reasons to jump duke. plus vt is down right stalled out on offense. i am not say duke can't punch vt in the mouth and pull off an upset. i am saying now that duke has established themselves as a hard out, vt coached will gameplan a little tough. duke not getting blown out, that makes players focus because the know this will not be a cake walk. also you bring up the unc win...just my opinion but unc is a good team, ask miami. unc was a team i even posted to look out for thisseason. i am saying that talent favors vt, and they have not been playing well so the coaches will try to use duke to tune up a bad offense. vt could easily sleep walk through this game but i can see a bad offense thinking they are better than anyone right now. the clemson game showed vt they have to work hard and i think thats what helps vt this weekend.

pitt (-5) over navy
i am fighting the urge to play navy. this is a huge home game for pitt. the freshman qb has been out right challenged to throw 4 tds...thats not saying he will, he might throw 4 tds or 4 ints. pitts defense is fast and both teams have not played or beaten anyone of substance. pitt faught hard at mich st a team that just lost to northwester....so its a small play considering they are home, and have been challenged by practically evenyone. wr mismatches for pitt in the size department, panthers have a great freshman rb that will shine on tv and emotionally this young team should get up for a espn spotlight game. navys offense is unstopable, they will get yards but team speed should stop some drives. pitt must throw early and often...there is the weakness. navy once they go into passcoverages can get manhandled in the trenches, opening small lanes and pitts rb can break one long.

fsu(-6) over wake
can you say look ahead game. fsu spots 6 on the road a week from play miami. this is a big game but i am sure some of these kids are looking forward. lee is a great fit for jumbos offense strong arm molble...reminds you a faster less accurate russell. wake has been struggling to get the breaks of a year ago and tonight i cannot imagine fsu's defense taking a night off considering wake was a acc champioship type team last season. this is a big game for fsu that has looked better of late. i think the team speed on defense might be too much for wake. lee nit showing to practice the other day scares me but bowden asures he was excused....sure. either way he starts tonight and fsu's talent out plays wakes want to...just need fsu to estabilsh something early and not give wakess crowd something to get behind. wake can be tough but i like fsu on national tv to get it done

how about wandstat.....guts call but considerring how his kids needed to win it was not the move...

Work
Last years game is a good reason for FSU to come out tonight and play. I had almost forgot about that until you brought it up. Thanks

I am on FSU as well, and had Navy last night, so I am glad he didn't kick the FG would have won if he scored a TD or not, I like the call to go for it, but I thought the play call was terrible, run the ball you've moved the ball all game on them on the ground and then you have 3rd and 2 and you call two pass plays?:com:

I certainly don't miss Wanny around these parts.

0-2 to start the weekend is not how i planned this...

n'western (-7) over minny
this is outside is the colder weather and the gophers are domers. minny gives up 37 points per game while only scoring 28. on the other hand n'western only score about 24 a game and give up 28. still n'wester is 3-3 and minny is 1-5 and the gophers win was a shoot out with miami oh. last week minny lost by 20 to indiana. meanwhile n'westen beat mich st in a shoot out. the scary aspect of this play is n'western lost to duke in ill. that is enough to put the fear on anyone laying 7. still i think being home against apoor minny team should get the wildcats a cover. both teams have offense but the fact is n'western allows 392 yards per game and minny allows 515 per contest. n'western has played michigan, ohio st, mich st and minny has seen purdue and ohio st but both in minny. i this momentum, home field advantage, offensive production, defense production and yarbrough 10 per rush average is enough to get ahead early and lead to the cover.

ark (-2) over aurburn
ark off what you can obly call a bye week playing i believe a 1aa team. aurburn is rebounding of late and look like the tigers squad of old. however ark has the running ga.e that can test this tiger defense. the ark line is big and should be powerful enough to open lanes for felix and mcfadden. the scariest part of this play is the speed of aururn on the d-line. this is where screens will help but not flanker screen (the biggest waste of a play imo). also i hate backing the ark passing game because it does not exsist. still i think some slant routes will open with the tiger lbs supporting the run. at home rested and ready for the tigers....oh yes and there is the issue of auburn playing lsu next week. can't help but think auburn is thinking about being the team to beat florida and lsu. hostile enviorment, good ark defense, and lsu playing aurburn next week should get the tazorbacks a win here. plus i think mcfadden will see more plays go his way with the lack of a passing attack and thats a good thing for ark.

hawaii (-18.5) over sjs
last meeting was a 54 to 17 hawaii win,but that was on the island. hawaii has a banged up qb but they average 53 points per game, sjs averages 17....those look a lot like the averages that led to last years score. sjs has won 3 in a row, um yeah cal-davis, idaho and utah state. the spartans got shelled by stanford, and arizona st plus lost to kstate by 20. granted 3 of the 4 were away games but they have not beaten any talent and this is hawaiims national tv commercial to show evetyone they deserve respect. brennen has a bum ankle but he should go and that passing attack should be big problems for sjs. i know hawaii is a terrible road team and they will give up some points but they will out score a spartan team that is not effective enough of offense. hawaii has beat no one and this is not a game that will stand out on a weak sched....but hammering a team on national tv when they are the only game on could do wonders for the warriors image. honestly i think hawaii is a weak team. they have a great offensive set and limited talent on defense. they do not play anyone and through goofy 60 point games they are ranked 16...now they have a chance to show the country what they can do. also this is a big fame for brennen who has slipped in the hiesman race.... a huge night for him with voters watching would help. i just think of these teams hawaii has the speed and coach advantage. they need to want it and stop with stupid plays, if they just run the offense i can see about a 28 point win. if brennen cannot play they lose some playmaking ability but overall the back up qb has enough arm to make plays. many people thought chang was not replaceable...i think you need a good arm and decent vision in the hawaii system to be a very qb player there...they have that behind brennen. i would rather have colt in becuase he lifts the offense and is a good qb leader.

Morris and T4W I don't know if having me on the same side is a good thing. Thanks for the kind words but right now I just can't get a break...punt return and a pick 6 not to mention 2 other picks and a mud pit for a playing pitch... Brennan just played him self out of the hiesman.

SJS (+4) over Hawaii 4th quarter

Hawaii will give up this TD and then score but I think SJS can drive on them again.
