I spent a hour and a half yesterday researching and writing about this game tonight. Then like at week ago, I accidentally deleted the write-up. I'm now 9-0 on sides but tonight could be my downfall. Beckett is hard to go against but to say this would be Bos best chance to win would be an under-statement if there ever was one. This is their only chance until next year.

As good as Beckett is and the way Bos treated Sabathia last time might get some people in trouble. First of all, as good as Beckett was, he still gave up a HR and might again tonight. He throwns over the plate regardless of which zone he's working with. He had the narrow zone last time and I expect this crew to at least start this game with the wide one. That will help Sabathia. Every game Beckett has won this year has gone over which strikes me a little odd seeing as how 5 runs is about all he ever gives up on a bad day. In contrast, most of Sabathia's games have gone under. Don't over look this. In his last game, Sabathia gave up only 7 hits in his 4 and 1/3 innings but 8 runs without a HR. Check your better pitchers and you will find that that is not easy to do. Sabathia also had more bb than sos and that is not like him. I noticed in Bos' last game they got 8 hits but only 3 runs and 2 were HR's. That makes what happened to CC even more odd. I don't want to do the full write-up that I did yesterday but will finish with this. This line looks like a set-up to me and I expected it to go up before gametime but it hasn't yet. I believe they expected more money on Bos than they had got.

I've never lost on Beckett yet and I won't tonight. Going small on

Cle plus the money

If I lose I will be 9-1 with Colo in the wings.

Good luck everyone

Nice job above, 1 question : when you talk about Beck gms over and most of Sabs gms under, you are talking about pitcher totals, right ? I don't play pitcher totals but these #'s are not game totals...

not sure what you mean either.

in games beckett has started this year, the totals are 16 unders 15 overs and 1 push by my closing numbers

and in games where he has gotten the "w" there are 9 unders 12 overs and 1 push.

gl nonethelss, think cleveland gets it done as well

I have no idea where I came up with that. I just go back to the middle of July. On the road he was 3-3. I was closer to right on Sabathia (11-4). It still don't change my call on the game. Beckett will have to be at his best tonight.

I was confused by the total stuff but your reasoning is sound on your breakdown of gm1..... I AGREE.... I think Beck is at the end of his rope ..... They may let him stretch it and get burned..... It will be hard for Terry to take him out in a close one...... I'll take the Clev pen over the Bos pen also.....
