C.Mich (-3.5) over W.Mich
I like Justin Hoskins to make a lot of plays opening up the air for LeFevour. CMU overcame a 70-14 thumping from Clemson to beat Kent State for a 4-0 MAC record, and now it'll try to pull off its sixth straight MAC win and 12th in 13 tries. W.Mich has the worst defense in the league and even though the Chips are not the same as last year they still have enough talent to make things happen and make enough happen to get it done tonight. After all W.Mich scored TWO points against an Eastern Mich defense that is not the leagues toughest. This should not be the best game but I like the Chios because they are IMO the better team. Hate the hook but I won't buy it because I think Central gets itr done tyo keep MAC hopes alive.

HAHAHA- 3 mins left C.Mich gives up a ten point lead and has to score to win the game. SWEET.

Ohio (-3) over Akron
The winner has a shot at the MAC so you have to think both teams will come to play.Ohio should be able to run considering the Zips gave up 200 plus to a BG team. the Bobcats have run for over 200 yards in each of the last four games, with ten touchdowns, and going 3-1. Akron doesn't have the defensive front to keep Ohio from pounding away. With McRae running the ball and WR's starting to emerge I think the ohio offense has the best option to score. They have a very good head coach, and they should have a solid game plan coming into tonights contest. I am not saying Ohio will shut Akron down but they do have talent on the defensive side and that talent is going to need to play big. Akron will do almost anything to win so the secondary of the bobcats has to be ready. Ohio needs to run and run then hit a deep pass and if they get ahead, they cannot slow down.

wow...a MAC beating over the past two nights makes it a nice change of pace going into new conferences.

BYU (-7) over TCU
the stormin mormans coming into this game playing solid football. They are averaging about 451 percontest and are scoring 30 points per, but the defense has come to play this year as well. BYU has the 15th defense in ncaa allowing 19 per contest. the point total is a bit high but they have been doing the job. Tonight they have a huge task trying to stop a horned frog team that puts 24 points and 359 yards per game in the book. however TCU is not the explosive offense of a few years ago. TCU has struggled to replace its signal caller and they rely on the groud game to do most the damage. TCU has a good stable of running backs even though heath has been an issue in the past. Dalton must be rushed and forced to throw.... he is not the most gifted qb and pressure will hurt him. BYUs defense is built to play on speed and deception and should have the oppertunities to make big plays. when byu gets going running they can be deadly. they have a good misdirection offense that should be a problem for the speed d line of TCU. Plus they have the beef on the line and at running back to go straight ahead for some big gains, especially in gl situations. when the running game is hitting BYU has a nice group of recievers and a strong arm to make plays down field. TCU struggles in pass defense and play action, pump fakes and double moves should result in positive plays. IMO BYU is playing the better football, they won last year 31-17 and they should look to continue the hot streak. TCU will have a problem with the altitude and cold of BYU and in the end the balanced offense and good enough cougar defense get the job done.

WVU(-16) over louisville
scared considering the chalk and wvu has never shown up in big games. Slayton has less than a hiesman type season and for some reason WVU will not throw the ball more that 30% of the time. so why the high number..it almost screams l'ville. Hell they have a hiesman type gb a pass happy execute offense and nothing to lose. Even the defense has shown up the past few games. so why did this come on the board at 15 and only rise to 16.5? the home field advantage is good but these teams have always battled. Am I so football uneducated to think louisville still has talent on offense. WVU has not killed anyone decent and yet they spot 16. I am lead to believe the wvu defense is tremendous because they beat cuse or held Teal with a broken thumb to a low number. I just don't get it, is WVU that much better than l'ville? They certainly have the running game advantage, they home field advantage, the could have a breakout type game player advantage but again l'ville cann play football. ECU was I believe a 17 point dog at WVU, miss st a 24 point dog...who covered minus a terrible day on offense eyt the neers spot 16 in the division to a hiesman qb with nothing to lose and a team putting all hopes on winning this game. Well considering l'ville has struggled to play the run well, WVU always plays better at home, this is the whole ball of wax for WVU and they have hiesman talent I think WVU has enough to do this. It will take a tremendous effort from the opening kick and no let ups....WVU's bench players in the 4th are still a threst to run for a couple of scores. Still I am not sold on why so much chalk...I am sure someone can pull a math equasion out and explain but it comes down to the kids on the field. l'ville will want this game but at home on nation tv I expect slayton, white, devine, scmidr, renaud and the whole cast on offense to score and be efficent on every drive. WVU has to start strong and break any spirit of l'ville. force them to play from behind and get in pass coverage. let brohm make mistakes and the energy of the crowd to continue scoring until the dust settles. then WVU will cover....I also have to play against such a high line in this grudge match game.

DD- you said it....frigging dropped a lot of coin and what burns me is turnovers and bad wvu play spoiled their 17 point lead in the 4th and BYU gives up a checky TD with 3 left in the game....unreal, but thats how it bounces.

speaking of chalk
Kansas (-6) over okie st
this is a play on a kansas team believing in the system and playing good football, while okie gave up a lot of points in the 4tg against texas in a heartbreaking loss. personally I know of a few okie st players that were destroyed after letting that game get away. On the other side kansas laid the wood to nebraska to add a little more fuel on their fire. this will be a tough game because its a roady spotting chalk in conference but kansas is the better complete football team. Okie st had a problem stopping the run and they allow 24 points per game. A little revenge should be in the minds of the jayhawks as the cowboys beat them in a shoot out last year. this game in my opinion comes down to 2 sets of stats I have seen...one- kansas is 2nd ncaa in points scored per game and they are going against the 93rd defense points allowed ncaa. Second okies sts 39th best scoring defense is going against the countries 1tth best defense in points allowed and 31st in total defense. So kansas has the better offense going in and the better defense but thats why they plan the game. Still the jayhawks are riding high and the cowboys are emotionally low. If kansas comes out strong then okie st should not have enough in the tank to keep pace.

ASU(-7) over ucla
sundevils lost to a talented oregon team and need to rebound. What better way to do that then against a struggling pass defense in UCLA. The bruins have lost to wash st and arizona, not the most efficent pac 10 teams. The bruins have won 4 straight home meetings against asu but I am sure none of them came with a player getting his first start like UCLA's qb this week. This game kind of scares me becuase asu is off a loss, going to ucla a place the have not played well and they are not a good road team. What I think is Erickson gets the loss behind them and the power sundevil offense rebounds to play a good game against a team in a down year. Because this is a ucla home game you know the bruines will comes out fired up but come on.....this team lost to utah, notre dame, washington st and arizona...the have oregon on deck. If anything Erickson should be using the bruins as a full speed tune up with USC on deck. Get into the rose bowl, shake off the loss and hammer the bruins so confidence is not a factor next week.

big play! also re-hit kansas and asu to make them big plays.
VT(-6) over FSU
FSU beats up boston college and all of a sudden Weatherford is a productive qb? Even Glennon made plays against BC, Ore ran for a career day against BC. Remember VT held BC to nothing all game and then packed it in about 3 mins to soon. FSU has a talented fast defense but so does VT. The difference is glennon looked like a totally different guy against GT and that defense is comparable to FSU. I do not think FSU is ready for the VT defense at home with a shot at an ACC championship chance. This is the same FSU team that lost at wake and at clemson. And the last time these two meet FSU won the game by 2 and smashed VT's shot at the ACC. VT only loses came to the #2 team in the country and they hd the BC game won. When you add everything up I think home field will play a huge role in this game. VT's defense always comes to play at home and the offense needs to follow suit. Glennon....he is an questionmark...3 or 5 steps and throw...thats the key. If he waits he is done, so hell bent on not throwing the pick he makes dumb choices with the ball. Ore (who showed life last week again) is the biggest factor. if he tries to out run or be cute FSU will eat his lunch. He needs to hit the hole and hit it hard and it looks like he has started to remember that these last two games. Losing royal hurts in the return game but macho harris is a service able big playmaker to return. Also what is good for VT backers is glennon is asked not to lose games while wetherford is ask to win them. VT has to natch up underneath with crossing routes and they ahve heathy speed at lb to do so, also watching out for the Fagg jump ball pass but flowers is big enough to play him. I also like the match up VT has on d-line against a slower FSU o-line, Ellis should have a big day and the front four has created problems for teams all season freeing up the lb'ers to play pass or run support. This will be a good defensive game but I like VT to get it done playing the better football at home.

OK so I have taken it up the tail pipe with chalk over the week so why stop tonight.....

BG (-3.5) over E.Mich
I know I will get hooked because these teams played to a three point game last time, both teams are struggling and E.Mich has the home field. I have to look at the records and think that BG comes to play against a pretty good E.Mich defense but the MAC and I haven't exactly been drinkin pals this week. I'll expect a late TD by E.Mich to hook me but I am banking on some of the orange pride to get it done considering they as everyone in the MAC are still in the hunt. Should be a sloppy game but the BG offense should be more productive and lead to more points. IMO they have a speed advantage but this is not a track meet so I am hoping that speed translate into open routes or hitting holes for big gains.

Rutgers (-19.5) over Army
RICE, RICE and RICE.... no thank you. I am thinking the underneath passing attack will be huge tonight considering Rice will be the main focus. This is an army team that gives up 29 per so the knights can score but they also stop an army team if they load the box and play man. Still arm has no quit, they are home and they are getting a ton of chalk.... so lets hope rice a roni carries his weight and the o-line opens holes so Teal only has to make a play here and there. Rice can score at least 4 TD's tonight and Teal can add 2 if the knights play and mix it up. Or they can come in unfocused and be in a dogfight.

DD- I don't just play chalk but when the wind blows that way got to go with it.

Ill (+15) over Ohio St
The bucks are a monster at home but Ill has a good team and used last week as a solid tune up for the offense. Juice Williams is going to make plays with his legs but needs to be more efficent with his arm. Ill passing numbers are lousy, ranking last in the Big Ten in both yards and pass efficiency. Running the ball is the key for the fighting Illini, Williams and Rashard Mendenhall have to get loose past the line and have to be able to get to the outside. That is going to be tough with a fast active group of LB'ers. What I like is how much of a problem Ohio St had with the mobility of Washingtons QB. Juice Williams can be the difference maker today. The last home game of the year, with Mich on the doorstep might just open the door for Ill to scare OSU a bit before the Bucks come around. Remember Wisky was winning at one point last week but OSU is a VERY good team and should figure out how to stop the running threat of Ill. Still They are getting a lot of chalk and Ill will use their strengths to keep it close if they want a shot at the win. I think the speed and spread them out formations might be tough for OSU to defend. I think Ill has a long shot at an upset but that starts with being eficent and they go and Juice goes and I expect him to play a good game or get the hook and then I like what the other QB brings in the passing attack.

No time for write ups
UNC (+3.5) over NC St
I think the heels are the better team, playing better football and getting the hook is nice.

Kent (-4) over Vandy
off a bye and some bad football the passing game will need to rebound and make plays against a slower vandy secondary.

Hawaii (-17.5) over Fresno
The warriors have the speed and talent in this match up. At home they play solid football, and they are fresh off a nice rested bye week.

Underdog is 8-1 ATS in UNC-NC St series.....Heels are 7-1 ATS as an underdog vs NC ST.....history is on your side today there.

Think Illini will the give the Bucks a run for their money also......last year, Illini held OSU to season low in yards and first downs, and now they've learned to win, had a little success and, despite being on the road, have more confidence coming into the game than they did last year.

OSU wins, but by single digits.

Nice bounce back last night, here's hoping you have continued success today! :toast:

Adding
Florida (-7) over S.Car
Last week florida showed they have the ability to run while S.Car showed they struggle stopping the run. I do not think Spurrir has the talent to stay in this game. He has bad QBs and when they took florida to the FG it was if I am not mistakent Newton playing QB and he scrambled for big gains that game. They don't have that threat and the florida defense tee's off an a motionless Mitchell.

Mizzou (-20) over A&M
Home, and too much going on with the aggies to think they have thier head in this. I think A&M are on the same level as Colorado and Mizzou handled them last week away, now they get Tex in their own house.

Miami (-3.5) over UVA
Virginia showed last week they are a good team but not a great team. Miami is a poor team that in my mind just does not have enough to be a factor.... however... This is the last game in the orange bowl. The hurricane alumni I am sure have been talking about the Miami in the past and getting this team fired up to send the stadium out with a big win. The Canes come out fired up and the defense will stop UVA.

Clemson (-9) over Wake
The decaons could not score against UVA last week. They will struggle against the Clemson defense but I like the Clemson running game to show up and run through gapping holes while Harper quietly passes for a big day. He has gotten better over the course of the year and should continue his improvement.

Small parlay
USC (-4)
Tenn (0)
Bama (-4)
Georgia (-1.5)
