NT is getting Navy at home today. Sold out almost.For NT to land a big name team in Denton is a bonanza. But what happens to my alma mater this week... Coach Dodge has had allegations of racial bias by 3 of his players...he was found not guilty of racism yesterday.NAACP was involved...more about that later..also yesterday Nwigue a
backup linebacker who was going to play a lot today due to navy's option was sent to jail for 100 days..oh well
Navy is coming off the ND win,no school,etc,etc.Navy is No 1 in rushing avg 330 yds..NT is 12th in passing avg 300 via the air..Navy pass defense is 100th...but so is NT's.And many of NT's air yards are after games they are so down by everyone gives them the short passes. NT has lost by these numbers...79,45,30,66,38,45 and 48..Smoo,Troy,FAU,Mid Tenn were almost season high games. Forget OU and Ark seasons highs.
Navy will run and run..NT won't get very many stops..NT with its 5 wr's should score on a poor Navy pass defense but NT will get turnovers alsnce there is a turnover..Navy ground attack will keep it away from NT's offense.
NT's linebackers will not be able to play against Navys option...this game should be high scoring esp if Navy secondry are having problems vs freshman qb Vizza.This is his 4th start..he has 8 td's and 12 ints..
Navy wins this 55-28...the over is 74..staying away from that..

Central Fl -21 over UAB ****
Wake forest +9 over clemson **

East Car -7 over Marshall ******
ECU with Pickney at QB,Johnson running the ball..conf championship on line...Holtz won't be there nexy yr...he's moving to up..Pirates will not trip or fall.

NT's coach was accused of racism..all week a NAACP probe and investigation has been going on.One disgrunteld player who was benched,etc had an altercation with another coach on the sidelines..the player who was already in trouble for missing practices or being late said "we are from the hood". The coach took that as something bad and it escalated...not judging because the players that complained have all been in trouble..but dodge and his staff have been accused because of that..sure more will surface..." we are from the hood"...
GL today...Rutgers won big yest..over one service academy..Navy wins big over my North Texas..

Cavy..there is talk all over that this could be his lyr in Greenville..lyr he was thinking NC St,UNC and some others.My son says that this is his last yr.He's loved by the students and most have accepted that he will land something big...maybe nebraska..I didn't hear that...Texas has 3 openings..right..Baylor,Smoo,Texas AM..right..to early now..but Holtz has done a great job at ECU..I like what he did to Kass his qb this year..busted for DUI..suspended for one game..but then let him sit the other 2 or 3 games..When i coached b-ball and suspended players I would do that all the time.'your suspended one game but I won't play you the next...that's what really hits home..you can play now but I'm not letting you...I was so sick there were times when I would grab a suspended player and tell him to go in for Duane...as then stop..and say..oh my bad...I forgot your out tonite..he was leaning and taking off his warmup thinking maybe coach forgot...I know thats crazy but I heard Al McGuire tell that story...and for 23 years did it.I would aplogize to my player 3 or 4 times..."damn..if you didn't miss practice yesterday...I sure could of used you...got caught up in the minute and forgot you couldn't play...lol I was pretty crazy back then...Holtz benching Kass bought back some memories...

its just about over

navy doesnt have the defense to stop nt enough times to cover a 15.5 point spread down this many points....unless nt implodes and turns the ball over a ton navy wont cover.

No worries Box, I am in no way knocking you. You are one of the guys I respect most on the forum. Just pissed at how poorly Navy is playing.

The OVER was the play here in hindsight. This one could hit 100 easy at this rate.

and the real navy defense appears just at the right moment....up 18, 5 mins left 4th and forever.....first down, td a few plays later, rcover the onsides kick, nt finally stops navy from businting one and take a knee on the 10 with 40 secs left.

perfect way to end.....

what's the saying.......every time i try to get out they drag me back in.....that was me and navy today.
