Season Overall 26-27-2 (-4.5 units)

Favs 10-13-1 (-6.45 units)
Dogs 7-7 (+0.85 units)
Overs 5-3-1 (+0.5 units)
Unders 4-4 (+0.6 units)

Picks:

Santa Clara +10 ? 1 Unit ? Utah?s 7-footer Nevill had trouble w/ Washinton?s shorter but more physical Jon Brockman the other night. Santa Clara has a similar player in John Bryant, that I foresee giving Nevill trouble again.

Lean ? Illinois -2.5 ? Would like to know if Boateng is in our out first. I like that Illinois has already been in the islands due to their game last Friday with the Warriors. ASU also hasn?t had any non-exhibition game. I honestly expected Illini to be favored a bit more in this game. I know ASU will be improved, but I think they will be hard pressed to win this one.

Looks like Boateng will play. He's a good player (transferred from Duke), but given he was out last year and didn't play in ASU's most recent exhibition, I still think he'll be a bit rusty.

Illini for 2 units.

W. Michigan -2 - 2 Units - I'm on the Bronco's again as they are on the road against another Horizon team. Their win against Loyola shouldn't have been that close as they played sloppy down the stretch with some turnovers. Detroit has played great D in their first two games, but will continue to lack true scoring power with Cotton off the team (he didn't play in their 1st two games either).

I see I'm going against the Blastoff system, but I'm sticking with Santa Clara, actually have waited to place the bet as I thought the line may increase which it has. Currently at 11.

Went with a couple of Over plays on the late game:

Illini/ASU Over 121.5 - 2 units
Illini/ASU Over 1H 56 - 2 units

I know both coaches are known for their "defensive" tendencies. I think ASU has some turnovers in their first game against real competition which will lead to Illinois pushing it and getting out to a lead. ASU can play more up tempo and will be forced to do so to keep up.

John Brockman was a beast in that game against Neville. Even though Neville played 32 minutes he was in foul trouble all game....not from Brockman attacking him. His fouls came away from the ball out of frustration when getting boxed out. The play he fouled out on he through a Wash guard to the ground. I would think Neville comes out and plays well tonight against Santa Clara. It's a no play for me. I don't like going against Billy B. too often.

Line movements provided me some room to try for a little middle. Don't usually do this, but going to do a 4 pt. teaser here. Feel like I got a good range from where I got my initial plays:

1 Unit - ASU +8.5/Under 127

+3.7 units today. W. Michigan blew what seemed to be a cover late in the 2H. Oh well, was on them for their two previous covers so I'm not going to complain. Still like that team and think there will be value in their lines in the future.
