If Mizzout beats Kansas would they leap past WV? And if not if the win the Big 12 title would they leap past WV?

WV only has Pitt left..

I believe Missouri would leap them. However, KU could beat Missouri and then lose to OU and allow West Virginia into the final game. LSU could lose as well as they still have 2 games left where they can lose IMO.

LSU, Mizzou, and Kansas could all lose.

How about WV vs Ohio St for the title?

Its a possibility..

OU has to win next weekend. Texas (so long as they beat a&m) is still very much in the picture for the big 12 south title.

I would think if Oklahoma wins they win the Big 12 South since they beat Texas earlier. I dont know the tiebreakers for the Big 12 so im not for certain.

LSU will be lucky to win this week. Too many defensive injuries are a factor.

Dorsey and Favorite are less than 100%. That means their without the full services of their top 3 DTs.

MLB Beckwith had arthroscopic on his knee last week, so I don't see him coming back this week. Huge dropoff from Beckwith to Cutrera in closing speed. A healthy Beckwith will be needed to slow down McFadden and Jones, especially with the DL so banged up.

If UGA gets into the SEC title game, then I would expect a UGA blowout. I think LSU would handle the Vols, though.

If Okie State beats OU Texas wins the South regardless of AM game. If OU wins it wins the South.

If texas beats AM and OU wins Texas will get an undeserved at large berthe while KU/Mizzou loser gets the shaft, and the other gets the shaft if it doesnt beat OU.

I'll feel bad for Ohio State if they don't get a title shot. I've been critical of them all season but in the end I think they've proven themselves to be second best to LSU this season. If you stack them up against Kansas, Mizzou or WVU they easily come out on top. It is just a shame that their one loss came late in the season.

IMO WV can hang with ANYBODY... If not beat them outright.

Sure, WVU can beat anyone. But when you look at their team and you look at who they've played (crappy non-conference and the crappiest BCS conference) you have to give OSU the nod.

The Big 12 has decided to change its rules - or not apply them - in the event OU and Texas both lose. Ordinarily witht he 3 team tie the tiebreaker would be the record v the 4th place team. under this scenario Tech and AM would tir for 4th, and Tech beat AM. But the conference has decided it will not enforce a tie breaker for 4th. if it had Texas would go.

So instead the tiebreaker will be BCS ranking.

Therefore, OU will win the South unless it loses and Texas wins.

I beg to differ.

The same exact thing can be said for OSU.

IMO WV has a more impressive resume
for the BCS.

The Big 10 was bad this year.
Big East was alot more competitive

On another note
If SC does end up winning the pac 10 and plays
OSU in the Rose Bowl , Do you think SC can beat
OSU?

My predictions:

1. Kansas defeats Missouri--or vice-versa.

2. Winner of Kansas-Missouri loses to Oklahoma in Big 12 Championship.

3. LSU loses to Georgia in SEC Championship game. Or maybe even Arkansas.

4. West Virginia wins out.

5. OSU and WVU will be matched up in BCS title game.

6. Holy hell will break out on both sides of the river here in southeast Ohio.

7. OSU will be crowned National Champions for the 2007-08 year.

8. OSU will be preseason #1 next year.

9. OSU will succumb to the pressure and finish 11-2, losing to USC and Michigan.

MARK IT DOWN!!!!

tulah,

I think the Big 10 was underrated this season. When you look at the Big East, you have to ask who they've beaten? Anyone? They all play garbage non-conference schedules. I do think that WVU is a great team. But better than OSU? I don't think so.

I think USC is in the top 3 with OSU and LSU. Of those 3 I think LSU may be a tad overrated and OSU may be a tad underrated. I'd just love to play either of those two in a bowl.

At this point I've realized that you can't really worry about the BCS Championship. It's nice to win, don't get me wrong. But it's not a fair fight. Maybe if these other top conferences go to round-robin it'll be fair, but for the forseeable future the Pac-10 has a disadvantage because teams have to play 12.5% more conference games than anyone else. And everyone knows that conference games (especially road conference games) are usually the most difficult.

As I've always said all you can worry about it winning the conference, getting into a BCS bowl and winning your bowl game. Since 2002 we've done that every year (except for the VY year, which I'm still in denial about). As long as we beat UCLA and get a good bowl matchup I'll be happy.
