Without question this is
the most talented defense
in the nation. I would not
want to face this team in a
bowl.

I pray that USC faces
Ohio St in the Rose Bowl.
SC will run away with that
game and I will start the
new year with a boost to
my bankroll;)

Best team and coaching in the country when they show up to play...just have sleptwalked most of the year. Whoever they play in the bowl game will not be happy. If there was a playoff system they would probably win it all this year.

my report from maui

sc is a talented team no question, but they have been banged up all year long however they have been missing something on offense all year long.

WHEN they come to play, they are a better team than almost anybody.....BUT coming to play every week is part of being a championship team and they've proven then arent that this year.

I don't buy the idea that they've sleepwalked or that they don't come to play every week. First of all, they've been injured. Second of all, just because you don't play your best doesn't mean you didn't come to play. You may be totally prepared but these are teenage and early 20's kids. You just can't be sure that you're gonna get great consistency no matter how hard you play.

I think the big problem is that Pete didn't recognize how big a problem Sanchez is. It is tough to win the strap with a horrible backup QB. I know we have Mustain coming in next year but Pete should have seen that Sanchez is God awful and done something to make sure he never had to be put in a position to be one injury away from stepping on the field.

Why do you think Sanchez is not capable of leading the Trojans next season?

Sanchez will be playing on sunday's in the future.
You just watch and see.

The reason that USC lost to Oregon was not
Sanchez's fault. Dixon ran wild and the Def.
played like shit. I know it's tough to defend a running QB but the truth is Dixon made alot of big big plays. IMO the Oregon loss is on the Def.

I know Sanchez threw a pic on the last drive
and he was trying to force a play. The WR's dropped a whole lot EZ pass' in that game and pretty much the entire season.
That's really not the QB's fault. All those ball's dropped were very catchable.

As a USC fan I would love to see Sanchez as the Starter next season. I think he will do great things as a Trojan.

As for Saturday
I'll be doing my 8-clap cheering my heart out for the Bruins Vs the Ducks.

With Dixon out Oregon blows. UCLA will likely have QB Olsen back. The Bruins play very well at the Rose Bowl . I think the Bruins have a great shot at winning this game.

The offense is VERY questionable. D is insane, best in the country and will keep them in any game. i think they murder a OSU or OU in a Rose or Fiesta Bowl;. but they dont deserve to play for all the marbels as much as I would love that.

youre right, they really came to play vs stanford, washingon and ua

come on, this years team slept thru the midle third of their schedule losing to stanford and should have lost to arizona.

Sleep walked, didn't sleep walk....who knows....everytime a major program does not play up to its "potential" the claim is they slept walked or overlooked their foe......so USC certainly is guilty of that, but they did have some injuries also.....and despite their amazing success in recent years, a result like that Stanford loss is liable to leave a team in a haze and in a funk for awhile...their confidence was shot, and we see it all the time with college athletes.....all that was going with USC.

Their resurgence last few weeks does not surprise me, but I was looking forward to a USC-Texas Holiday Bowl.....talk about a major just-see game in a "minor" bowl......looks like USC has upgraded their bowl slot for sure.....Rose Bowl vs OSU would be an sneak peek at what will no doubt be one of the marquee non-conference, September games in 2008 and 2009.
