Just heard on 870am Jordy Hultberg(sp?), LSU sideline reporter.

Players are pumped up. An unprompted Miles pulled him aside after the team meal and told him that there is no chance he is nothe HC of LSU next year. Later, Miles' wife shared the same info with him. Surprisingly, she tols Jordy that they had wanted to stay all along. Either they are both scum, or he is staying at LSU.

Dorsey said he is far improved from last week in terms of the back problem. Still not 100% though.

Steltz is fine.

Holiday is fine.

The biggest news is that Ricky Jean Francois (the freak) appears to be in good shape after the semester-long academic suspension, and will be starting on the DL. He is an animal, and his fresh legs will be HUGE imo. Plus, the players love him. Huge boost to the team.

I'm leaving my play as is, Vols +7 and under 59.5

Just passing along the info as I heard it since most outside of Louisiana do not have access to the LSU pre-game show.

Thanks for passing it along.

Sticking w/ Tenn myself, but its odd listening to you pimping your boys so much, but thats only because you have been stone cold objective all season long. I've been collecting against LSU all season and your analysis started me down that road!

I had been wondering too if you were changing your pick or something.....I'll be keeping an eye on Francois all game.....hopefully Ainge will too.

Good luck on your play.....hope the Tigers win the SEC, just hope they dont cover!

I agree with you. LSU is looking better to me now than they did all week now that all the BS surrounding the coaching staff is over. Did the happenings of today awaken a sleeping giant? I think its very possible, but with inexperienced RP at the helm I'm sticking with the Vols +7. Just an FYI, I would expect LSU to run, run, run, and use a controlled passing game with RP in there.

I cannot imagine a scenario in which LSU gets beaten soundly today, but the opposite is quite possible.

Is it possible LSU is massively overrated?

It seems to me Tenn plays to their opponent - Which is usually the sign of some not-so-good coaching...but 7 points is a lot, I think for a team that seems to hit their stride vs. a team that has been exposed since playing Alabama (to an extent).

I think the key is Tenn OLine, who has given up a NCAA low 4 sacks. That is huge to give Ainge time against Dorsey and Co.

I think Tenn could win SU, but ILl take the points in what looks to be a close game.

I'm just some regular ole Acadian Driftwood still stuck way up here up north ;)

Seriously, though, I've had some of the best times in my life down in NOLA.....some of which i actually remember.....and have nothing but great things to say about the locals..awesome hosts....I WILL make it back down there, but adult life keeps getting in the way.....and as far as SEC football goes, LSU has always been a team I root for over the previous powers that be in the conference....not sure why, maybe the cool uniforms, or the legend of Death Valley......probably both......die hard college football fan my whole life, and one of my future goals in life is to see an SEC night game down in Baton Rouge.

Sure it is.

IMO LSU is a top 5 team nationally in terms of talent, but hey have holes. I broke down the holes early this season in several posts. Depth at OL, and lack of experience at QB and WR were my main concerns entering the season.

You definetely need to go to BR to an SEC game at Tiger Stadium. Its worth every penny. Leave some room for food and drinks when your down there.

And Flynn doesnt impress me much. Its a completely different game, but Tenn played them tough last year (although getting beat up from a yardage standpoint) with Russell and an Ainge that looked lost. This is an improved Tenn team with confidence.

FYI, Flynn is not playing, or if he is on alimited basis due to injury. Perilloux will start according to reports. Perriloux was the #2 QB recruit out of HS. He is supposed to be the future here. I guess we'll learn today.
