I have about $600 in change (dimes, nickels, quarters). Other than rolling it all up or paying 9% to coinstar, anyone have any idea's of how I can easily turn this into paper money???

Any places in vegas still use quarters? I will be there a week.

most of the major banks can do it..

or if you are Nevada, all the casinos have machines that will convert change into paper money ;)

Many coinstars now have features where you don't pay the fee, and you can get an amazon gift card, or anything. There are a ton of options.

About a year ago I cashed in $500 in coins. How carefully I counted each last coin as I dutifully rolled them into their packages. I hauled them into the back with some assistance...they were quite heavy. Then, the bank teller promptly informed me that I needed to take them all out of their packages, because they just installed a coin machine which automatically counts them.

Like freelancc said, most banks have these machines now and they are free...just take all your coins in and they will sort them for you in a matter of minutes and give you a check.

take it to your bank......don't roll anything

tell the teller you want to deposit your money

if they have a machine it takes less than 5 minutes. if they don't...tough chit. the teller will tell you no, but ask to speak to a manager. it's your money and if its us currency they have to take it....they just might take a while counting it

here in NJ/PA we have a bank called commerce.....they have this thing called a penny arcade, you just dump your coins in the machine, it sorts them, prints a receipt and you bring it to the teller and they give you the cash. its great....dont even have to be a member of the bank
