I guess I really don't understand why the media, including every talk show and message board has turned the bowl season into a debate about how great the SEC is and how bad the Big Ten is. I am a Michigan St. guy and I could give a rip about which conference is better as their really is no debate. The SEC clearly has a better collection of teams, so why is this rehashed over and over again. Through the forums and talk shows fans of Ohio st. and LSU talked their trash back and forth and after the outcome, most Sec fans bragged about the outcome and the dominance of the Sec... Simply because Ohio st. was talking smack prior to the game shouldn't necessarily turn this into a conference vs. conference debate. Most fans of Big Ten teams hate Ohio st. and their stupid fourth grade chant of OH...IO. Why are fans of say Mississippi or Auburn (example only) so excited about Lsu winning this game? Don't most non-Lsu Sec fans despise Lsu? I think most Big Ten fans would readily admit that the conference isn't even in the top 3 this year and have accepted that. Last night's game had no bearing on supremacy between the conferences, it was simply hyped that way to actually make people care about the mismatch in yet another BCS game flop. (4 of the 5 were snoozers) Anyway, I just thought this was a little odd to me. Sorry for the novel.
