Haven't played much NBA this year but I've been looking at an angle for a while now and it may apply in this game. Anytime one of the teams has a 15 pt. or more lead going into the 4q, bet the under. The reasoning being that, more often than not, both teams just put it on cruise control because they know the game is pretty much over. Already had a winner tonight with the Hornets/Lakers under (LA was up 16 after 3, only 37 points in the 4th).

So, if Portland is still up 15 or more after 3 I will take the under, no matter what the # is.

Just checked my book and they don't have a line up??? Ridiculous. Anyway, I think the under will do well. Both teams know this one is over so don't expect too much effort.

my book doesn't have a line either..damn

My book is usually pretty good about having in-progress and quarter lines available. But for some reason when it gets down to the last game or 2 of the night they sometimes take it down. Now I have to hope the 4th quarter is a shootout so I can be happy I wasn't able to bet on the under. :142smilie

Looks like I was lucky to miss out on the line. Both teams' scrubs managed to put up a lot of points. Not exactly the brickfest you usually see...

One sidenote... I REALLY like Portland this year, especially at home. They are just LOADED with talent. I think in the end their inexperience may catch up with them, but I expect them to have one of the better records in the west when all is said and done.
