Top ten bets....going opposite

The site I use for my scores and odds has a link to the top ten bets for each day. I've tracked the results of the top ten bets for each of the last 3 days and the overall record is 4-16 ATS.

So going opposite of the top bets would have produced a 16-4 record.

You might notice that there are only 20 games included in the record for the last 3 days. This is because the record only includes bets on point spreads and over/unders.

- Money line bets are excluded.
- If two teams playing each other both made the top ten, then I went opposite of the higher ranked pick (example, yesterday San Antonio was #1, Detroit was #2......the higher rank was S.A. so I would have played Detroit).

I realize that this could be a fluke, and 3 days is not a very big sample size. But I'm going to give it a shot tonight. :shrug:

I'll post the plays once it gets closer to game time.

not many clubs can hold a home team to single digit scoring in the 4th quarter...this celtic group is very good and i would be careful going against them in the future.

Illini, stick with it. I've noticed following the same thing at a different site that Fridays are a bad day to use. Maybe it is Vegas' gift day to the public to get them primed for the weekend or whatever but Fridays for me have been a bad measuring stick.

NYMess - Thanks for the info about Fridays. I'm definitely going to keep trying it for a while. I may not be able to post my plays today because the in-laws are coming over. But I'm still going to try to play them.

Just as long as you keep track of it every day, you'll know if it is worth playing or not. If you miss a day of playing, you still want to try and keep a record.

I think I'm just going to do it on weekdays, at least until the NFL is over. It did well last week on Tuesday, Wednesday, and Thursday.

All of the top ten bets have been on the NFL games yesterday and today. I don't think it's a very good sample when all of the top ten is on two games. Here's what they are, if anybody wants to know. The plays would be Chargers, Cowboys, Chargers under, Cowboys under. But I'm not playing opposite today.
