been making money line dog plays for yrs. now in hoops....this will help you make money ....
if you make a play on a 6.5 pt. or less road or home dog in nba or ncaa....play that dog on the money line.... nearly 9 outa 10 times a dog in that range will win the game outright or not cover....think of the extra money you will add to your bankroll.
all plays are a flat bet [loser=no-juice]...and any winner you pick will pick you up anywhere from 10 cents to +250...
in the month of january so far, there has been 81 6.5 pt. or less home/road dog winners....72 of them were outright moneyline winners.....went thru the 5-saturdays in december for further numbers to back it up....same results...there were 70... 6.5 pt. or less road/home dog winners and 61 of them were outright moneyline winners....
every once in awhile it may cost you a cover but in long run you will come out ahead....just do the math....
if you made 10 plays for 100 each using plus 170 [the middle figure for dogs in this range]...say that you won 9 of these plays outright and lost 1 but wouldve won by taking the points...your return would be plus 1430.....making thosesame 10 plays at 110 each taking the points and you win all 10 your return would be 1000....taking it down to 8 moneyline winners and 2-losers that cover you still make 1160 vs. 10-10 with pts. gets 1000.
so 9 outa 10 nets 430 more and
8 outa 10 nets 160
you may want to take it down to 5 pt or less dogs to minimize chance of a cover but no-outright..thats up to you..but i think 6.5 is the magic number with this..because of the high return in the 5-6.5 range...no matter what number you feel comfortabe using..you will be putting money in your pocket playing dogs this way...the next step is simple, just find the dog winners.
hope thishelps...
