Giants ? Stop the forward pass
During the win in Dallas, we wondered why Jason Garrett didn't take more cracks deep against the injured New York secondary. Mike McCarthy brilliantly balanced the Packers attack vs. the Seahawks and we expect more of the same this week.
This is what they face on Sunday: Brett Favre in Lambeau Field with a chance to go to the Super Bowl.
Favre has great matchups with Jennings, Driver, Jones, and tight end Donald Lee, who played great against the New York defense in Week 2. Aaron Ross got hurt in the win over Dallas and Sam Madison still has an abdominal strain. Favre should be able to win match-ups both deep and short.
The Giants' best recipe for success will be the pass rush generated from their outstanding defensive line (Mike Strahan, Osi Umenyiora and Justin Tuck) and with pressure from Steve Spagnuolo's blitzes. Forcing the issue with Favre is the big key for the Giants. Seattle, however, couldn't do it last weekend.

If the Giants do not pressure Favre this game will be over. Favre likes to dink and dunk and generate yards after the catch. NY will have to sack him and pressure him alot to have a chance to win this game.
There is going to be a tremendous amount of pressure on Grant playing against his old team that let him go. How he handles it will go along way in deciding the outcome of the game. I believe that the Giants pride is going to take over and they will be committed to stuffing the run. Grant is the only real threat Green Bay has to run up the middle.
I like the fact that the Packers are a very young team. Will this be the week that their rookieness gets them in hot water.
On the Giants end alot of Jacobs will be good. Tankity tank tank is the word here. Get Jacobs free in the secondary and make them pay when they try to tackle 35" thighs.
Eli Eli Eli ..... This is his chance to shine and he has been through the trenchs the last few years. I believe in him and his ability to play a mistake free game. If Eli does not fumble or throw interceptions, the Giants can win this game.
The cold will affect both teams. I dont think any of the Giants will be wearing the heating pad in the butt football pants like Seattle did last week.
Come on men this is fawking football. This is for the Super Bowl. Suck it up and play like you know you can.
NY Giants have to stop the run game and pressure Favre. If they can do that, then this play wins.:00hour
It seems simple enough.
I am excited to watch this game.
