Its really hard for me to pick totals. I have asked people over the years to explain to me what they look at when wagering on football totals. No one really stepped up or maybe its a big secret.

I know the obvious ones, weather, running stats, passing stats, on and on. But just have never been able to nail what to look for.

For instance on thinking about this game, I immediately think over the total .

its why I dont play many totals. Stick to what you know. The way I know is the way I go.

Pretty hilarious to hear a couple of southern boys, (AL and GA) talk about how cold it is! Good luck on the plays! Going to be hard to move the ball in sub zero wind chill factors and 20 MPH wind!

KOD... why don't you find an offshore book that would only charge you -170 vig?

You're are paying a premium with your offshore book that isn't necessary. Most books only let you buy 3 points maximum, but they only charge 10% vig for each half-point:00x33 :rimshot

:bump:

Let's get this thread back at the top where it belongs.

I can't believe how consumed some people can get about the views in someone else's thread
................................................................

Thanks for bumping this thread bobby , it saves me from posting another inane picture.

I agree that Gibber is ultra concerned with the views he gets. Can you imagine sitting there clicking on your own thread 1900 times ? Its insane, but I guess I dont really care what he does with his free time.

Bobby - have you been thinking much about the Super Bowl ? I am looking forward to one of your picture talking strings to explain things to me. :SIB

Bobby - Go change a diaper will you. Wait until you start feeding the baby vegtables. Talk about some
gooey brown stuff. Whew. !

This is the official football that Tony Romo used in the Dallas loss to the Giants. After the game Romo stated that if wasnt for the ball they would have won. It reminded him of elbow titties and he had to suckle it, caused poor release

Well the ice storm passed us by as usual. Its just raining now and 33 degrees. I am origianlly from New England so I know all about -30 weather. I just go visit my family that is still there in spring or summer.

What will happen in the snow in Lambeau.

I have friends and family in FLA so I hear all about it when it gets close to the freezing mark! I think this game will be the exact opposite from the Seattle game where they blew by the over in the snow! Finally jumped on under 41 on Monday, thinking it'll keep dropping. Supposed to be 6 degrees at game time! Lots of running, using major clock!

Giants ? Stop the forward pass

During the win in Dallas, we wondered why Jason Garrett didn't take more cracks deep against the injured New York secondary. Mike McCarthy brilliantly balanced the Packers attack vs. the Seahawks and we expect more of the same this week.

This is what they face on Sunday: Brett Favre in Lambeau Field with a chance to go to the Super Bowl.

Favre has great matchups with Jennings, Driver, Jones, and tight end Donald Lee, who played great against the New York defense in Week 2. Aaron Ross got hurt in the win over Dallas and Sam Madison still has an abdominal strain. Favre should be able to win match-ups both deep and short.

The Giants' best recipe for success will be the pass rush generated from their outstanding defensive line (Mike Strahan, Osi Umenyiora and Justin Tuck) and with pressure from Steve Spagnuolo's blitzes. Forcing the issue with Favre is the big key for the Giants. Seattle, however, couldn't do it last weekend.
....................................................................

If the Giants do not pressure Favre this game will be over. Favre likes to dink and dunk and generate yards after the catch. NY will have to sack him and pressure him alot to have a chance to win this game.

There is going to be a tremendous amount of pressure on Grant playing against his old team that let him go. How he handles it will go along way in deciding the outcome of the game. I believe that the Giants pride is going to take over and they will be committed to stuffing the run. Grant is the only real threat Green Bay has to run up the middle.

I like the fact that the Packers are a very young team. Will this be the week that their rookieness gets them in hot water.

On the Giants end alot of Jacobs will be good. Tankity tank tank is the word here. Get Jacobs free in the secondary and make them pay when they try to tackle 35" thighs.

Eli Eli Eli ..... This is his chance to shine and he has been through the trenchs the last few years. I believe in him and his ability to play a mistake free game. If Eli does not fumble or throw interceptions, the Giants can win this game.

The cold will affect both teams. I dont think any of the Giants will be wearing the heating pad in the butt football pants like Seattle did last week.
Come on men this is fawking football. This is for the Super Bowl. Suck it up and play like you know you can.

NY Giants have to stop the run game and pressure Favre. If they can do that, then this play wins.:00hour

It seems simple enough.

I am excited to watch this game.

They might just do that. That doesn't mean he has any "pressure" on him because he is playing New York. I don't think he gives two shits about that.

By the way........New York will be +8 at The Greek before too long.

How does Green Bay stop Jacobs
is the bigger question

The running game for NY is what is going to beat Green Bay in Lambeau.

There have been many games this season where the Green Bay defense got ate up by the rushed out.

I thought you were taking the Giants +8

your beginning to sound like a homer

and that is not good for Green Bays chances.
