Good idea to avoid road favs imo.... Personally, I focus on home teams, particularly when conference play starts.

I stopped betting road faves in college hoops about 2 years ago. It's amazing how good teams continually look awful on the road in college hoops. Oftentimes they don't even come close to covering. And if they do cover, it's usually like pulling teeth to get there.

I will play an occasional road dog, but I don't touch road faves. Incredibly hard to win, long-term, betting road faves in college hoops IMO. I think the best bets are home dogs and short home faves. Especially if they're interconference games.

By the way, pull up the ESPN NCAA scoreboard and check out how road faves did today. That should scare anybody straight. :mj07:

You picked the wrong ones..... road fav are cashing about 52% of the time.... home fav are cashing about 50% of the time............ all categories are about 50% ............... fav, dogs, home or road you just have to pick winners. I love road teams. Great value if you can spot a road winner, most of the time your getting a little discount. It's tough, the smart thing to do is don't bet. Buy a hedge fund .... Buy gold .... pick a category and stick to it.... rf / rd / hf / hd/ all will end up about 50% at the end of every CB season. If you bet one category and can't win 50 % of the time, the next best option is keep betting that category but flip a coin. Not trying to be harsh but those are the statistics.
