Every time GB runs the football they bail out NY.

True, but if they sent the WRs down the field every play in this weather, they'd be flat by the 3rd. It's insane how hard this cold weather can be on your stamina.

Gotta mix it up, even if it means a step back here or there.

Unreal. He runs into the ONE defender that could bring him down. If he goes right GB has the ball inside the 5 right now. Game-changing play right there.

Than wouldn't it be on pace for 35-36 than?

A TD would have been 20 total points in the first half, so it would have been 40 point pace, or right around the Total set.

Provided no more points this half, that FG puts us on 32 point pace, which gives Under betters a bit more room to breathe for the second half.

So does GB play prevent and give up a score before half? I hope not, but I'm not holding my breath.

the calls are one sided a bit at this point al harris is raping burress and that illegal hands penalty just cost the giants 3.

the giants had better wake up on o because favre and his rec have missed a couple that could have gone for td's. jmo

you're right, the one defender also had another offensive player between him and grant, great tackle by pierce and poor choice by grant

:mj07: There it is. Just ONCE I would like to see a team close out a half on defense. I think it's an unwritten rule that you have to give up points.

I think the cold causes the refs brain to freeze....he was like Leslie Nelson in Naked Gun there.....he forgot he had to call something.

I'll be pounding NY 2h for sure. They should be winning this game. One play for GB so far, and I think that gives us a skewed reality of how the game has actually played out.

He is on the take and was looking to give the pack a call:shrug:

Yeah, really. It was either an incomplete or a catch w/ the ground causing the fumble. Pretty obvious, but he was just standing there ready to call a fumble. :142smilie

The Under took a few hits that quarter.....dodged a bullet though on that incomplete.

Have any second half thoughts?

Giants lead 183 to 174 in total yards, but 90 yards for GB came on that one play.

Rushing: NY 14 for 55.....GB 8 for 11.....i read somewhere a few years back that the team that has more rushes covers a bit more than 2/3s of the time.....of course, the trick before hand is figuring out which team will have more rushes.....its not the greatest of tools to use, but sometimes can help break down an in game box score for possible 2nd half plays.

Good numbers. Yeah, I think NY has outplayed GB by a long shot. This is similar to the SD/NE game. SD was outplaying NE but just couldn't put the ball in the endzone. Exact same story for NY.
