Morning all.....another great Saturday of College Hoops.....sweet games to watch all over the docket.....playing this one game early one:

Nove -2 over ND. Who can figure out the Big East? The only thing that seems sure is that home court rules the day, so we're sticking with that trend at taking the Wildcats today in Philadelphia. It seems like every team that hits the road just gets swamped by the home team and the Irish have been no exception. Notre Dame has played two road games in league play and lost by 27 to Marquette and 19 to Georgetown. Their point giard Tony Jackson has been brutal in both those games and feel like mathcing up with Scottie Reynolds will be in trouble. Reynolds struggled the other night vs Rutgers and will bounce back. Game might be tight as Nova is not known for their good starts, but riding the home court advantage this afternoon.

Waiving the while flag on the Nova play.

Adding:

Okie St +1 over Tamu. Both clubs enter on a three game losing, so expect a lot of urgency this afternoon in Stillwater. Obviously, everyone is wondering, and perhaps doubting, that the Aggies have gas left in the tank after their 5-OT loss the other night. County me firmly in that camp. Despite the record, this team missed AC Law. Big time. And, its evident when they hit the road because the intangible advantage Law gave this club with team confidence and the surety that they can win is not there. In thier three true road games this season, the Aggies have lost by 11, 15 and 19. Now, they travel to Stillwater, where Okie State has always carried a tremendouse home edge. The Cowboys aren't world beaters this year, but have destroyed Washington and Texas Tech and lost by 2 to Texas on this floor already this season. . They've covered four games in a row at Henry Iba. I see them pulling out a win today against an overrated Aggie club, thats failed agains the number in four straight contests.

Adding:

IU, 2H -7.5.

Well, I would have played them this morning at -3 for sure.....now thats all they have to get to for a second half cover......i've seen this act out of IU several times year where they just look average in the first half and pull away in the second. They will have an explosive run at some point this half that will seize control of the game. They'll hit there free throws in the final minute and end up winning by 5 or 6 points.

Really need Okie State to come up big these last six minutes.....adding some 4:00 tips:

Purdue +2 over Wisco........it may seem like a juxtaposition to see an IU alum liking Purdue as much as I do, but it is what it is. I've said many times in this forum, that i feel Purdue is the #3 team in the league behind IU and MSU. Today is the day they vindicate that sentiment with a huge showdown at home against Wisco. Hey, I am 5-0-1 with posted plays this season on the Boilers, and I am staying on them today. The Boilers are 16-5 ATS in their last 21 Big 10 contests, including a 5-1 record this year and covers in eight of their last 10 conference home games. I like the defense they play and lately they've had a new face step up big in each game. I respect the heck out of Wisco, but I dont think they are playing as well as Purdue is right now. Home team has covered 7 out of the last ten in this series.

SDSU -2 over UNLV. Another game with early season conference suprememcy on the line. Taking a flier on the home Aztecs in this one. SDSU is 12-5 ATS in their last 17 home Mountain West games. They've beaten UNLVS four of the last five times overall and three of the last four time in San Diego. The Aztecs have gone 4-0 ATS in MWC this year, including a SU win at New Mexico and a 3-point loss, but cover at BYU. Meanwhile when Vegas hit the road they barely got by CSU and lost outright to Air Force. Those are two of the league's bottom teams. Expect them to struggle on the road today against a league and NCAA-bid contending team. SDSU is 6-2-1 in the last nine in this series.

Baylor -4 over Oklahoma......thought long and hard here. I am staying on Baylor. Yes, the target is officially on their back, but they will have too much for Oklahoma in the end. Gonna stay on Baylor until they stop becoming a money making play in league plays. They're 20-7-1 ATS vs the Big 12, including their last three in a row.

Late plays:

USC +4 over Oregon. Road team is 8-1, underdog is 7-1, both ATS, plus Tim Floyd's team has been a more than solid ATS play since he took over in LA.

Creighton +4.5 over SIU Just not a vintage SIU team. Think they play inspired tonight, but they struggle too much to score the basketball, so I'll take my chances with the underdog team, who perhaps comes in with a bit more talent.
