anyone have any news on this..
Cornley & Battle Carry The Scoring: Over the last four games junior Jamelle Cornley (14.0 ppg) and freshman Talor Battle (11.0 ppg) have stepped up their scoring since All-Big Ten forward Geary Claxton went down with a knee injury. The pair are accounting for 48 percent of Penn State's scoring since Claxton went down six minutes into Penn State's loss to Wisconsin. They are the only Lions averaging double-digits in Big Ten games with Cornley posting 15.3 ppg and Battle 12.3 ppg. Cornley is one of two players (D.J. White) to rank in the top 10 in scoring and rebounding in Big Ten Conference games.
Cornley Coming On: Hindered by a bone bruise in his left knee for much of the early season, including missing three games, Jamelle Cornley is now averaging a team-best 15.3 points and 7.1 rebounds a game while shooting 55 percent in conference action. He had huge games in the Big Ten opening wins at Northwestern and Illinois averaging 20.5 points and 10.5 rebounds per game while posting back-to-back double-doubles. Cornley led Penn State with a season high of 22 points and 11 rebounds and was a stellar 11-of-14 from the floor including four dunks at Northwestern. The 6-5, 240-pounder also led the Lions with 18 points, 13 in the second half, and a season-high 12 rebounds at Illinois to post his eighth career double-double. He came up with 19 points and seven boards going head-to-head with Indiana's D.J. White in a loss at Indiana (1/20).
I see no info on the web anywhere where this injury has flared up again nor any mention of a new injury.
"Scores and..." is listing the above mention of his questionable status.
Under the total of 126' is certainly worth a look even if he is playing..Without him Penn St could post a 50 or less ..
true status will be critical to total play..
any help will be appreciated..
