I see so many upset conservatives today with the dropping of Romney. I find it interesting, the same folks that despised senator Kerry, labeling him a Flip flop, for saying "voted against it, before for it", are all ready to jump in Romney s corner. A guy that has changed sides on literally every issue possible. Abortion,,guns, gays, conservatives, everything. A real charlatan. This guy is as phony as a counterfeit bill, yet conservatives were ready to jump behind him.

even Tuesday Romney said he was in the race until the end. Now 2 days later he quits.

Good riddance

Its a little tougher when you have to wade thru issues to determine candidates Shamrock--forunately it's just issue of race and gender from your side. :)

Wayne, just a question. Do you consider women and non-white people actual Americans whose vote should count as much as yours?

I would label myself a conservative, and I'm thrilled that there's no way he can now get the nomination. :00hour I'm not thrilled however, and really quite disenchanted with the choices I have. These will be the weakest presidential candidates of all time.

How tough can it be for supporters of Bush (who I guess call themselves conservatives...I dunno) to wade through issues? Seems to be only three that really matter...waging elective wars/rebuilding what we blow up, Lowering taxes mainly for wealthy people, and enacting beneficial legilation assisting oil and energy interests to amass profits at all time records.

The only guy left who signed on for all that seemed to be Romney when he saw a chance for "change."

Good question Kosar. We know that he doesn't give as much value to Minnesotans, because Keith Ellison is a representative from one district...which taints the entire state. Surprised Wisconsin and Iowa didn't get lumped in there, since they touch the state.

I think your observation and comments are on target, Shamrock...seemingly only true Bush defenders can take issue with it. I'll take the opinion of a person who lived in Romney's state over someone who just blasts dems at every turn.

I note the kudos being made for his quitting speech in another thread here. Saying that he's quitting for the good of the country, and to not hinder the war on terror. So, I guess he didn't care about that so much before he got his arse kicked by an old dude that he spent so much time ridiculing? Amazing how losing can change one's perspective, isn't it?

I thought Mitt may have been there best chance as out sider. Followed by Rudy then Mc Cain. Rudy ran a stupid race. Mc Cain is more of what we got and I just think he can't win.

What has that got to do with your parties qualifications for candidates?

If I had my way--you have to be a taxpayor to vote-no race or gender criteria--just productivity.

I would put lifetime welfare-drug addicts-in same class as felons "currently" are--and let the chips fall where they may-along lines of race or gender.

I'm sure you let your part time help--run your company when your out of town :)

dogs, which issues do conservatives have to "wade" through? Rove, swift boat attacks, and the back stabbing tricks they pulled on McCain couple years back? Negative attacks & lies and mud throwing? Looks like Romney attacks against McCain didn't work this time around.

Probably the only civil discussion of issues have been between the gender & color candidates as you so fondly refer to them as.

I think anything along the lines of-
-Winning vs surrender
-Trying to halt illegals form getting hired vs giving them Drivers licenses and sancuary
-lower taxes and smaller gov vs opposite

Then not sure all America is ready for the Hillary or Barrack Hussein Ombama. :)

--and believe you might get that combo by default without either getting to choose VP candidate-if what I'm hearing from Dean pans out.

The Boss bush has done nothing. And Reagan was one of the first to let them stay by big numbers.
Bush has had complete control. Goes to war when ever he feals like it. But because American companies got in his ear and told him look the other way. He Did. Close-em down or start the fines. Here's a easy place to start Wall Mart.
Mc Cain any better. Are you kidding.

I have no idea how a country "wins" an occupation. The war was won years ago. We have been over the immigration issue so many times, and yet you still see republicans as tough on the immigration issue. Who was it that first proposed the drivers licenses for illegals? Oh yeah, a republican. You voted for a guy who increased the size of government more than any president since LBJ and yet you believe that you support a party of small government. You live on fantasy island, thankfully the population is shrinking by the minute.

McCain vs OBama (wtf cares what his middle name, oh yeah, racist rednecks do)

OBama is going to take that old man out behind the woodshed. It is going to be a slaughtering.

Ok so I can't put his name up now without being racist--Technically I could only be half racist.

Actually Jabbers I believe he is inspiration to the black community--He great example of how your father can abandon you soon after birth -your mother shovel you off to grand parents--and with personal effort still make it to the top.
Quite an accomplishment. :)

However despite the kudos-if he wins nomination I wouldn't bet your foodstamps he wins national election if I were you :)
