after a rough stretch, i've hit 8 of my last 10. back over 57%... trying to get to 60%. thanks to some poor money management, i'm only up 2 units. got a couple big plays today.

seton hall (+6) 1 unit. the pirates are 4-1 ATS on the conference road. 'nova is on a 1-11 ATS streak. (the '1' was the last time i played against them. never fails, does it?)

bradley (+6) 4 units. huge, huge, huge play for me. after a 6-0 start in conference, the redbirds have gone 2-4. their home games during this stretch were a 3-point win over indiana state (who had been getting blown out by everybody on the road) and a loss to drake 4 days ago. that loss to drake has to be especially crushing. that game meant a lot to illinois state. the game that started this 2-4 run was the battle for first with drake on 1/19. they led almost the entire second half, until the last 4 minutes. on tuesday, they had their chance at revenge. they led the first 30 minutes of the game. they got within 2 several times in the closing minutes. but they couldn't pull it out. now here comes the bradley braves. bradley started 2-5 in conference, as daniel ruffin was injured. his first game back was against these same redbirds, coming off their first loss to drake. bradley won by a point. the braves are 5-0 since ruffin's return. and ruffin is finally back to his old self. his last 2 games, he has 44 points and 13 assists. right now, i think bradley is the second best team in the conference. one more factor to consider... IF illinois state somehow rebounds from their loss to drake and this game is near the spread in the closing minutes... the redbirds shoot 63.5% from the free throw line.

that has to be the longest write-up i've ever had for a game.

louisville (-3) 3 units. since the cardinals got healthy, they have only 2 losses, and both were on the road. they've won their last 4 home games by an average of 16.5 points. i've said this before, and i'll say it again... without jeff green, georgetown doesn't have 'it' this year. their only 2 losses are on the road, at memphis and pitt. i'm going to focus on the memphis game, because i think louisville is very similar to memphis. that was a 1-point game with 14 minutes remaining. then memphis went on a run that just buried the hoyas. when memphis ratcheted up the pressure, they pulled away. louisville makes their living on runs like that. they just keep coming at you. with the home crowd going nuts and no jeff green to steady the hoyas, i really like the cardinals today.

purdue (+10) 1 unit. this one scares me, it looks so easy. purdue has covered 8 of their last 9 conference games (including a 4-point win over these badgers 2 weeks ago. wisconsin is 1-4 ATS at home in conference.
