Xavier could not play that well even with Lavender, Kobe Bryant and Michael Jordan. If Xavier plays like they should like they have against Az St,Temple, St Louis, Charlotte then Rhode Island will come back.
Nice little comeback by URI but it looks like they are going to run out of gas. I think I would have rather seen them just lose by 30 than tease us like that. :mj07:
Now I just have to hope Xavier doesn't cover the 2h number cuz I ended up not playing that. :0corn
Couldn't score a point to save their lives when they needed it. I give credit to Xavier. URI came at them and even took the lead at one point, but they hung in and ended up winning easily. They have a lot more heart than URI does.
Rhode Island has heart they played hard just got beat by a superior team and they could not hit free throws at the end!
Gee, is there a more perfect example of a team that has no heart? URI couldn't score a single point when the game was close and in doubt. Now that it's clearly over, they have no problem scoring at all. :mj07:
Well, I disagree with that. I suppose you have to give them SOME credit for not just laying down when they got behind, but when a college team plays at home I always assume they're going to play hard, so that really doesn't mean much to me. I think if they had heart they wouldn't have choked down the stretch the way they did. Just my opinion...
Yes, I know. That was my point. I was saying a prime example of a team not having heart is when they choke in pressure situations. I worded it sarcastically, but that's what I meant.
