Took Under 199 (-108) on Matchbook this morning. The Suns seem to match the tempo of the better defensive teams in the league. I don't have the stats but from watching their games against the likes of Boston and the Spurs leads me to believe todays result will be similar. Also the addition of Shaq should provide more of a half court set type offense with a Twin Tower effect when he and Amare are both in the game. The Suns will always run, but I think they realize that the type of offense they have been running has not produced the result they want (a championship) and the recent move to get Shaq seems to further be evidence of their commitment to bolstering a low post game which will slow down a game. Lastly this is the early Sunday game and these affairs seem to have a lean to the under as the players are out of a "normal" routine and can come out slow to start the game thus helping an argument for an under.

I really like Detroit in this one also and will probably be making a smaller play on the moneyline. GL everyone...would like to hear any other opinions as to a side and or total play you have and why.

Up to 200 - glad to see I am in the minority here. Really like this play, hopefully it cashes.

Good luck on the play, shawn. It's up to 201 at Pinnacle now and may go higher since 200 or so will look low to the casual betting public. But Detroit cannot run with Phoenix if they hope to win so expect a lot of defense. And as you say, the Shaq will alter the Phoenix offense somewhat. Again, GL to us and maybe wait a little to bet closer to gametime.

Thanks yanoo, yeah I should of waited to get a lower number but after seeing it drop to 198.5 I grabbed the 199. I hope it doesn't matter much though as I don't think either team gets close to 100 points in this game, especially the Pistons. GL to us, betting under in Suns games is like betting under on Rockies home games, LOL, never easy to watch.

total up to 201'

total up to 201'

if thinking they're starting off slow with early start the 1h bet might be worth it. with a game total of 201' that i'm seeing the 1h number is 102--more than half the game total---and in 1h wont see as many FTs/scoring with clock stopped as would in 2h one would figure. jus a heads up. i tailed you, though bought up to 202--gl

I was way off here, Detroit over 100 points with more than 8 mins to go, the Suns are back to playing zero D with Shaq in the middle.

Every time I come on this site and do these stupid big write ups the plays lose. I mean what is the sense of it. Sorry tball and anyone else who took this under just because I posted this play. My blood is boiling right now seeing these scrubs nail 3's and get open layups.

Don't sweat it, shawn, your writeup was premised on the game being closely played, and so was my decision. We couldn't foresee a blowout and the consequences on the total, e.g. no Suns defence.

Your writeups are just fine, they give good info on which others may decide to make (or not make) a play. You've given reallly good input, the final decision for people to bet or not bet is up to them.

Good luck on future games, I'll be checking your posts for sure. :)

ditto with yanno

ditto with yanno

you're right there with analysis--jus sometimes bounces (loose ball foul for instance) or 1 missed 3ptr--and you're there. you werent really off in my mind--so dont sweatit---its not like you're wayyy of by like 20-30 ptys everytime, then thats reason to worry.

fwiw, i look forward to you insight--regardless if agree on not--definitely gives me a point of view looking for. best of luck from here on my friend.
