Dallas parlays their two picks to Miami and maybe a player or two for the first pick in the draft and takes DMAC. After running a 4.27 at the combine at his size, no pick would be better than him for the Cowboys. The one two punch of McFadden and Barber would be hell in the 4th quarter.

No way.

Dallas has much bigger needs at CB, WR, & S.

They all ready have a Pro Bowl RB. While they do need a compliment to MB3, they can easily get one in the 2nd round w/ this extremely deep RB draft.

I rather sure up CB & WR in the 1st round, & get a nice change of pace back in the 2nd & then a back up QB or S in the 3rd.

McFadden may be awesome, but he would not be in the best interests of Dallas right now....

i have read that teams are reluctant to pay the price for moving up to the top pick...& i also read that some scouts have mendenhall higher than mcfadden at this point.

but i agree with 3 sec...& think it wouldn't be wise for dallas to pay to move up because of other needs...

what about the fact Jerry Jones likes to make a splash and DMAC went to Arkansas like Jones. I am just trying to think of a way DMAC goes to a good team for fantasy football reasons.

Adrian Peterson went to a perfect system with a good offensive line last year and was a fantasy stud as a rookie.

I have been following McFadden since I saw him as a freshman, I just want him to succeed in the pros, not go to a crap team that is at the top of the draft.

IT is not far fetched to think he may end up in dallas, but i think the Raiders draft him if he is there. i would prefer howie jr. , but i think he will be gone. also, think davis will not pass on an elite runner. he reminds me of dickerson - davis will want him. imo

I could see Felix Jones in Dallas if they used one of the 1st on him. Not DMAC though.

Some whispers about Dallas looking into Michael Turner are coming about....not sure if they can afford him w/ all these other contracts they need to get done. Hamlin, Flo, MB3, etc...

Felix better fit for Cowboys?

Felix better fit for Cowboys?

Wednesday February 27, 2008

While it's true Darren McFadden is looking more and more like a future Pro Bowl choice after clocking a scorching time of 4.27 seconds in the 40-yard dash at the NFL Scouting Combine, his Arkansas teammate, Felix Jones, would be a better fit for the Cowboys. To position themselves to draft McFadden, the Cowboys would have to part with their first-round picks (Nos. 22 and 28) plus a player or other picks. The high cost to crack the top five should make such a move prohibitive. Plus, this draft is deep with backs. Jones, meanwhile, is projected as a late first or second-round selection. Then there's this: Jones has the perfect temperament to share carries with Pro Bowl pick Marion Barber, a restricted free agent Dallas is sure to retain.

Yep I agree completely. Felix would also fill the need of a punt return guy as he would be dynamic in that role. Anything to get Crayton off punt returns the guy sucks.
