the kid is an idiot, makes peter warrick and the gang look like alter boys

Les is an idiot if he doesn't dismiss this guy right now. Why not kick him off the team now, rather than set yourself up for an embarassment during the season? The LSU cupboard is not bare when it comes to QBs. Last season thet signed the #2 QB in Texas (behind Mallet), Jarett Lee. He came in with all the tools needing only to do some work in the weight room. I bet Tommy Moffit has him whipped into decent shape by now.

I, and many around here, are calling for RP to be booted... even is it means a down year.

Cie he has done more and been mor einvolved with some of those things than what you listed. For example, he didnt just get a bad $20....not to mention the credit card scheme that got swept under the rug...

What do you know of Jarret Lee from Brenham, TX? He may be carrying the load this season....:scared

I want to maintain a reputation as a winning AND class-act program.

I wouldn't worry about that. I know I sure don't think any less of UGA for the kids having some fun in a rivalry game.

I just read Richt invited Lloyd Carr to speak at his HS coaches clinic this week. Not surprising that a class act like Richt would want a guy like Carr to be there. They're two of the few still willing to win the right away. I sure hope Coach Rod carries on that part of the Carr legacy.

I didn't real get much from my source on Monday regarding Pryor other than he has made no decision and strictly concentrating on bringing a state championship to his school for hoops too which is this weekend. They have already won the West PA and State Football, and West PA Hoops. A rare feat no doubt, but here is a little piece of information for all you conspiracy theory guys, guess where the state champhioship is the weekend, you got it Penn State University, and I look for them to make him feel like a king by rolling out the red carpet somewhere in Somerset. This is interesting to me at least....

Quarterback Terrelle Pryor, the nation's No. 1 high school football player, has finally made his college choice.
When Signing Day arrived in February, the 6-foot-5, 235-pounder from Jeannette, Pa., wasn't ready to make his decision.

Terrelle Pryor finally ended the suspense and announced for Ohio State Wednesday at his high school. As time progressed, he knew he was headed to the Big Ten. However, he had yet to decide between Ohio State and Michigan. After much research and discussion, Pryor announced on Wednesday he's going to be a Buckeye.

"It was just the right fit," Pryor told Rivals.com late Tuesday night. "The coaches, the comfort level, the players and the signing class they had. I am very comfortable with all of it, and I became friendly with the other recruits throughout the process.

"But in the end it came down to what was right for me. And after a lot of thinking, talking and consideration, it came down to Ohio State."

Pryor was concerned about early playing time at Ohio State because the Buckeyes boast all-conference quarterback Todd Boeckman, but the overall fit in Columbus just felt better.

"I can't see myself sitting and not playing, that's the tough part," Pryor said. "I certainly don't want to redshirt. But being brought along a little slowly might be the best thing for me in the long run, and I have to look at that. I'm not sure if being thrown to the wolves and starting from Day One would be best for me. I know college is a big step up and there's a lot to learn."

There has been talk of Pryor being utilized like Tim Tebow was during his freshman year at Florida.

--------------------------------------------------------------------------------

This has been very tough. I didn't really like the attention, and it got worse after I didn't decide. But I had to do what was right for me and my family. I'm excited about the decision.
- Terrelle Pryor

"If that happens, then that's what happens," he said. "I'm going in to compete as hard as I can and we'll see where I fit in. I trust the coaches to use me the best way they can."
Michigan's zone-read offense under Rich Rodriguez was very tempting to Pryor, especially since Rodriguez has had so much success with it at West Virginia. Without Pryor, it doesn't appear the Wolverines have the type of quarterback necessary to run Rodriguez's scheme effectively.

"Michigan is a great school and it was a tough decision," Pryor said. "I like the coaches there. I've known them since they were at West Virginia. I seriously considered them right up until the end, but Ohio State was where I felt it."

Ohio State hasn't typically run a zone-read offense, which was a concern for Pryor. However, after further research, he feels he'll be a better quarterback in the end because of it.

"Troy Smith ran some zone-read stuff early in his career, and then he developed into a pocket passer and did a lot of stuff out of the shotgun," Pryor said. "He became a better quarterback - not just an athlete - by the time he was done. I feel I can do the same. Both schools said they would utilize my athletic ability in the offense, but I think I can be more well-rounded at Ohio State."

Pryor is happy to be done with the decision.

"This has been very tough," he said. "I didn't really like the attention, and it got worse after I didn't decide. But I had to do what was right for me and my family. I'm excited about the decision."

03/19/2008 The Branden Ore saga has taken another turn. Ore has been dismissed from the team. Ore has been in and out doghouse since he arrived at Virginia Tech. He also put up an outstanding 17 TD season in 2006. Last year Ore battled injures, a depleted offensive line, a suspension for the Orange bowl, a federal drug case and even filed paper work to enter the NFL draft. Ore eventually withdrew his name and seemed committed to Hokies in 2008. Which makes the the timing of his dismissal all that more puzzling. Regardless the door is open for someone to step into the Hokies blackfield and Tech running backs have been fantasy staples for the last decade. We'll be digging into all of the possibly replacements, including freshman Ryan Williams.

03/25/2008 The Auburn quarterback battle has been narrowed down to a two-horse race between Kodi Burns and JUCO Chris Todd. Auburn OC Tony Franklin is making it clear that he expects this race to continue into fall camp. The Auburn quarterbacking job will have a much greater fantasy impact under Franklin, and this will continue to be a prime battle to watch.

SEC Notes

SEC Notes

LSU: QB Ryan Perriloux has been reinstated to the team, but still has not earned the privilage to practice or play. Miles mentioned he may be back at practice in the next few weeks.

Florida: Wide receiver Percy Harvin has a heel injury which may cause him to miss the rest of spring practice. Harvin, who did not practice Monday, will be re-evaluated before determining to end his spring work. Wide receiver Louis Murphy also did not practice Monday because of a staph infection, but he is expected to return Wednesday.

Alabama: The Crimson Tide had its first practice in full pads Monday. Defensive end Luther Davis returned for his first workout. Luther Davis is one strange dude.

Auburn: The Tigers return two starting wide receivers in Rod Smith and Montez Billings. But, the star of the two scrimmages has been sophomore Terrell Zachery, who has caught 13 passes for 130 yards and three touchdowns. Tight end Tommy Trott has also been a big target with nine receptions fr 123 yards and two touchdowns.

Georgia: After nine practices, the defense has dominated the offensive. One problem area has been the offensive line. Safeties Rashad Jones and Quintin Banks have been leaders for the defense. Running back Caleb King suffered a knee injury and will have a MRI. The injury was not thought to be serious.

South Carolina: Quarterback Stephen Garcia is in trouble again. He was arrested by campus police for underage drinking over the weekend. He already paid a $257.50 fine, but his status with the team is unknown. He was not at practice Monday. Coach Steve Spurrier said the decision is not his, but the university's. Garcia has already been in trouble for missing too many classes. Walk-on quarterback Zac Brindise and offensive lineman Heath Batchelor was also arrested. Brindise will miss two or three practices. Batchelor was allowed to practice Monday. Defensive back Carlos Thomas, who had been suspended, returned to practice. In 11-on-11 drills Monday, Chris Smelley was 5-of-6, while Tommy Beecher was 3-of-9.

RP has full priveledges starting Sunday April 6th. Hes making the trip to the White House Monday with the team.

Miles wanted him to play in the spring game but decided no to since it would be unfair to RP and also the players that have practiced all spring.

I think florida will not be as good as expected next season. I see right through Urban Meyer. IMO, he is pompous, spiteful, petty, and, more importantly, vastly overrated.

I bet Mich will be better than most think next season, and Vols will be worse.

Cie,

Pompous yes, petty probably. Overrated.....Hell no. 22-2 at Utah? National Championship in second year at Florida? He is an excellent game coach and makes moves most coaches don't have the balls for. You may not like him but he is a damn good coach.

Cie:

The Vols trio of QBs cannot hit water if they fell out of a damn boat. Vols D will be much, much better and they will go back to running the ball.

One thing to really look out for is inflated totals because of last year's weak D and solid passing game.

I will be hitting unders reall hard on all UT's games this year. They will be average as always and because of a really good home schedule, win 8 games again, but no more
