Ok, so, tomorrow afternoon I'm taking the car in. We'll find out if anything is wrong with the battery or the starter. It has started ever since the day it didn't initially start. I mentioned this to the dealership guy and he referenced that maybe it had something to do with the starter.

I hate these Texas dealerships. Man, woman, child or pet, they will screw you as much as possible. Anyone who has ever had a Toyota knows they rarely, if ever, have things wrong with them. I swear, you even mention having a concern about anything and suddenly they find all kinds of things wrong. Keep in mind, as of November everything was supposedly in perfect shape. The whole reason I'm taking it back in is to get it aligned. They didn't align it correctly the first time, and now my brand new tires are wearing funny.

My car got hit at 8,000 miles (it was parked when hit) and they did warn me it would never really be the same again when it came to alignment. However, in the intervening years the tires have never worn like this after it was supposedly aligned.

Perhaps it's just time for a new car. I can't wait to see what they "find" tomorrow. AGH! :0corn

Above the Clouds....
Kelly,
First how long has it been since it wouldn't start?
How did you get it started? And you have had no problem since?
Electrical systems are basically pretty simple. Battery, altenator, solenoid and starter. Most auto shops will do a diagonastic test for free. Tell them that!

As far as the tires wearing, how hard was the car hit and how long ago. If your going thru front tires I would be concerned. Also if you're looking at new cars anyway it may be time. Sometimes these things can nickel and dime you to death.
Hope this helps.

Well, the game was great until the 5:00 minute mark. Unfortunately, the 3 inches of snow jacked up my dish and off it went. Bummer, but the steak dinner will console me, I suppose.

Ok, I'll bite. Who's Hazel?

Why are you posting pics of this girl? Kneifl, hmmm...I think you guys have a feud. It's hard to keep track of all the man-on-man feuds going on here. Frankly, Kneifl seems like a nice guy, I don't know what the issue is with him...

Ok...

Ok...

So, I take the car in to the dealership.

Bottom line, need two new tires and the car is NOT out of alignment. I don't know why the tire people said to only replace two, I would have rather done all four three months ago and been done with it.

Anyway, they also checked the battery and it showed low strength. Like one of you guys said, they said to take it to Auto Zone and get a new one since it's only 1 1/2 years old. That's it - everything else in great shape.

All this for free, too. Must be my lucky day!:00hour
