The Minnesota Vikings reached an agreement on a six-year contract Saturday with wide receiver Bernard Berrian, who had a career year with the Chicago Bears last season.

Berrian spent Saturday at Winter Park, and the Vikings made sure he didn?t leave to visit another team.

He had a career-high 71 catches for 951 yards and five touchdowns for Chicago in his fourth season in the NFL.

Minnesota also signed free agent fullback Thomas Tapeh, who played in college at Minnesota.

Local media saying the Bears are thinking Hester is gonna be the big time receiver Berrian thinks he is. They are in contract talks to lock him in long term now.

(beside the whole running back td's thing)

I hope the Cedric Benson experiment is on the way out. He will have to be on a very short leash.

At WR. I think Bradley is solid, and will prove to be.

now who's gonna throw him the ball

Bears bring back Booker, signing the free agent receiver

?The Chicago Bears reacquired free agent wide receiver Marty Booker on Tuesday to help replenish a depleted receiving corp.

Booker, who was the Miami Dolphins? leading receiver last season, signed a two-year deal with Chicago. Financial terms were not disclosed.

The Bears had lost leading receiver Bernard Berrian to the Minnesota Vikings on a six-year, $42 million free agent contract last week. They also cut veteran wide receiver Muhsin Muhammad with three years left on his contract.

The Bears also announced the team has decided not to re-sign Pro Bowl special teams free agent, Brendon Ayanbadejo. The team?s contract offer to Ayanbadejo has been pulled.

Ayanbadejo had said during the 2007 regular season that he wanted a deal that would make him the highest-paid special teams player in the league.

Booker had 50 catches for 556 yards last season.

He is fifth in Bears history in catches with 315 in five seasons from 1999-2003. He was traded to Miami in the preseason of 2004 when the Bears acquired defensive end Adewale Ogunleye.

Booker?s 3,684 receiving yards are sixth in Bears history and the 1999 third-round draft pick out of Louisiana-Monroe is ninth in TD catches for the Bears with 23.
