I wouldn't say he 'saved' him and it probably wouldn't have gotten much, if any, play if Lieberman stayed out of it. McCain looked like a total idiot on the one issue that he claims he dominates. 
watch Lieberman get a cabinet position if McCain wins. Likely Secretary of Defense. They have been a-hole buddies for quite some time.
And were paying for this trip. They say it has nothing to do with election. I hope they know only 25% of the American people will buy that. I would guess no Dem's or Independents will.

If Obama or Hillary would have said what McCain said it would have been blasted on nitwit neocon radio and Fox News all the way up until election day. What he said may be even more ridiculous then anything Bush has ever said. what is even more stunning is that Kosar actually heard about it. It astounds me(well, kind of-I DO consider the source) that you still don't understand what I think about this administration and more importantly, this war.
Just because I read the NY Post means absolutely nothing. That paper entertains me, in its way, and I also like their opinion section even though much of the crap about the 'war' is just that. Not all, but much. They have very intelligent(doesn't mean I agree, whatsoever) columnists and I like to take a look at the other side from respected writers about this 'war' as much as I can.
I know your stances and i also know when one of those talking points hits the wind you get conned into believing them before you actually hear the other side of the argument. A. Kerry calling the soldiers dumb. B. Obama ready to light up Pakistan. As my buddy use to say "just sayin"
