This team was 1 pt away from 30-0...Best gds in the country...Green is top pt gd..pentrates,shoots,etc..AJ is unreal..shoots the lite out...frontcourt with super frosh Howard are solid...only weakness is to go against a team with a big athletic front line..and Bama dosn't have that.After watching them lose to MT in the Sun you can see there weakness.Couldn't stop penetration..Bama has Bennitt who can score and some athletic greyhounds at the fds but this is a terrible matchup for them.Butler offense is so patient...pass,cut,drive,pass,penetrate,kick out,pass again,Graves hit a jumper...the shot clock is at 4 seconds also...Bama doesn't have the discipline defense to stop that..Like Butler to pull away after the half and win by 10-15 pts..
UConn -11 over SD **
SD has some good quick gds.Johnson can score from the outside and Pomare is a force inside.Huskies are a great defensive team..offense is there problem...Thabeet at 7'3 should keep Pomare in check..Conn has problems against quick gds..but Price has emerged at a solid player..I remember a few yrs back saying here I saw this kid from LI up in glen Falls and he's the best pt gd I've seen in years...thank god the computer theft is behind him..Huskies gds are Dyson,Austrie,Wiggins..thats a lot of talent..upfront Adrien and who knows about Robinson..he looks unstopable at times and lost other times..this is a bad matchup for SD.They came on strong at the end..If both teams bring there 'A" game huskies should win and cover...but there defense is so suspect..
Davidson -2 over Zaga ***
Like David a lot today..they have Curry probaly the best gd in the country...A great pt gd in Richards who leads the nation in assits...A solid front line..Zaga lives with Pargo shooting and driving.front court has some problems in scoring.davidson makes few mistakes...had a unreal schedule and played many good teams..zaga overated a little.Curry is the real deal...
St Marys pk over Miami *
What Cane team shows up..after there play in the ACC conf tourney they looked so bad..mcClinton from Siena has been a top player this yr hitting 3's from all over..they are athletic and have size..Mary has good gds in Mills,Simpson at the wing,and can score inside and outside..like Mary to win this..but if the Canes wake up and are ready they could win this..small play...
Tenn -19 over American ****
this should be a blowout..belmont could shoot so this is not a possible belmont-duke game..American has 2 good gds in Carr and Mercer...both are 5'9 and 5'11..frontcourt is avg and they have no interioe defense what so ever..Tenn is loaded..not wasting time mentioning there frontline,gds etc..Lofton and co shoud blow them away ...this team can go to san Antonio...they are unselfish,except for Lofton..and if youlook at some of the scores of weak opponents..Mid Tenn,NC AT,La-Laf they are 101-44,105-40,etc..Tenn wins this by 30..
Drake -3.5 over WKU *
toughest game to capp.small play..Like WKU with Lee,Brazelton,Evans[looked like a superstar in Sun Tourney..think he won MVP..not sure] team has so much depth..Valdez could start for may teams
But Drake even though they lost 3 of last 6 games have Emmenecker at the pt..young is unreal..Korver hits them from downtown..Drake is tough and if a team they go against has a huge athletic frontline then there in trouble..but Hilltoppers don't have that...small play...Bulldogs win by just enough to cover..
