sorry that i can't help you with the phoenix area casinos. i am not much of a casino player.i head to vegas anytime that i want to go to a casino.

AR, no apologies needed, any help is appreciated. This will be my first time spending time in the area and we have a house booked in Chandler. We will be in the area from Thursday to Sunday. Plan to catch a spring training game, ASU baseball game, get some golf in and of course the basketball games. Casinos not necessary as I didn't know what quality they were. Just looking for other options if there is any other downtime we come across.
What are the best areas for restaurants and bars? I've heard Mill in Tempe, some by the arenas downtown and Stetson in Scottsdale.

that site that i listed has everything that you would need.
take time to go to the fashion square area in downtown scottsdale (camelback & scottsdale roads)...they have some good restaurants & bars.one of my favorites is the grand lux cafe (also have one in the venetian hotel in vegas).nice atmosphere in the bar area & reastaurant & prices are resonable.
