Is this prop a winner?

Prop - Which team will score more points in the second half? Kansas (1/1)

The email from my book says it is a loss. If the overtime isn't in the second half then it is a loss. It the overtime is in the second half its a winner.

No big deal, it only makes a $14 THOUSAND DOLLAR DIFFERENCE to my day. (Still a good day, but I parlayed several props as well.)

Usually that is spelled out on the Sportsbook site, whichever one it is? Betting rules, etc. They have pretty specific info there to cover their arse.

I'm guessing this bet is a loser if you bet this prop before the game which it sounds like you did.

Halftime bets include second halfs.

I guess it depends on the book.

Since when can you bet $14,000 on a prop?

I say it's a WINNA

prob a $7K bet, instead of losing $7K, he would win $7K, therefore a $14K difference  but you're right, that's a huge prop bet and i've never seen a prop allow anythng near that amount..i'd say it's a winner, most 2nd half bets i've done included OT..if it's a winner then congrats

Read the rules at your book. Most second half plays DO include O.T.

this is pinnacle's rules:

Additional Rules:
All wagers on the game and all wagers on the second half will include overtime scoring.

For props wagers, unless stated otherwise, the second half includes overtime.

It wasn't a huge prop bet, it was part of a parlay that included prop bets.

Unfortunately, I am not betting online. I am betting with a guy who runs a little bar. . . . (The sandwiches are really good!) I'm sure he got hammered the other night on Kansas, so I suspect he's trying to save his ass. I don't know whether he bets elsewhere to cover himself. I would think he does, because he doesn't usually offers a bunch of prop bets. But he had a ton of props on the super bowl, too. Maybe he has a bunch of props on big games.

He sent me an email half an hour after the game saying my parlay was a loser. That by itself is suspicious, because he rarely emails results, at least to me. I emailed him back that I thought he was wrong, and didn't hear anything. I've talked to him, and he says it is a loser, because the Jayhawks lost the second half then won the overtime. When I argued it with him he laughed and said "sue me," knowing that I couldn't do that.

This isn't a setup where there is a five page small print contract to cover all the rules. All I have is his reputation, which has been good in the past but stinks with me right now.

lesson #X should be instructive.
get on-line.
2nd half plays generally always mean the REST of the game and your book likely knows that.
sounds like you've got it figured out.
get with a decent on-line book.
make it legal.
the off-shores can afford the odd hit.

better luck.

if he isn't going to pay, he should at least refund the bet. sounds like bs; whatever benefits him is what he goes with.

I almost hired two thugs to go talk to him, but I couldn't decide whether to use the standard broken thumbs or pay extra for the broken kneecaps. The thumbs are nice, but the kneecaps have a nice poetry about them due to Rodrick Stewart's injury. But seriously, my only recourse is to attack his reputation with other bettors, right? In our discussion he basically told me to go ahead with that, since he is right and this bet is more than his take. Plus, he claims to have paid those who bet the prop on Memphis. (I doubt many people here bet the Memphis prop, but I really don't know.)

He's holding my moneyline and spread winnings hostage, refusing to pay me until I sign a paid-in-full receipt, which I won't do. I've never signed anything, and am not real excited about doing it now.

I'm not wealthy by any means, and this money would be significant for me. But I can also live without it.

Any ideas? Would someone please call me a dumbass? I really thought this guy was my friend. Lesson learned.

Personally I say you win but like others say it depends on the book.

20 years ago I dealt with a guy that didn't include OT in the totals but he stated that up front.

Most do now. GL.
