If you have any interactions with this phone please post the MODEL you have as I understand theres different models sorta like the PS3, I am interested in knowing pros and cons on it or about it BEFORE I purchase it, mainly interested in the internet actions and how well does it work for these kind of sites.....forums as Madjacks, and also can you or would you be able to place a wager at a sportsbook with it?? I currently have a nextel model i7100 blackberry which allows me to VIEW my sportsbook pages but do to it NOT KEEPING COOKIE TRACKING I CANNOT PLACE THE WAGER, will the iphone solve this problem? Also how do the OTHER features work as well ie...PHONE RECEPTION, ipod(imagine that is good), email and text capabilities, and can you use custom ringtones such as songs or song clips on the phone or are you stuck with the basic tones they set up wit it??? Some say the nextel blackberry i7100 CANNOT use custom tones I know FOR A FACT U CAN, a little difficult to do but I do have them on my phone......sorry for the long read but I would like to know more before I waste money or before I switch from BAD SERVICE TO WORSE!!!!!! THANKS ALOT FELLAS and I appreciate any and ALL input!!!!!!!

Are you already with AT&T?

The iPhone is a whole new experience. Historically, I'm not a huge fan of Apple, but this is a great product. They are really addressing their previous problems.

It works well with email which is where I thought it would fall short.

I have not placed wagers on one, so I can not attest to that, but I can't imagine it not working perfectly. Their web capabilities are fantastic.

Call Apple store and ask the technical questions about cookies. They will immediately know.

I don't have an iPhone, but I agree with the suggestion to call (or visit) an Apple store to ask. Their tech support people and people who work in the stores are actually knowledgeable about their products. It is amazing.

Thanks fellas, I am currently linked in with Nextel/Sprint and I will visit an AT&T store where HOPEFULLY they have a demo model available along with a knowledgable rep, the latter of the 2 may be hard pressed in these parts where customer service is like mechanics, they do and say what they want because we the consumer dont know any better:142smilie

I would wait until they release the new 3g iphone, which will work on the faster networks

Rumors have it coming out in June

Thanks for the heads up, and also would anyone have any info on a HACKED version?? I heard about it on another site where you can use T mobile internet package for 5.99 a month versus the 20 at&t package

Be careful w/the "hacked" phones. You are basically relying on someone to mess w/the phone's backbone so to speak... There are always those who claim you can use an iPhone w/Tmobile, or a sidekick w/nextel srvc, i'd just be careful, cuz it's gonna cost you a mint up front if nothing else.

i'm waiting for the 2nd gen iphone myself

I was able to place wagers on my Iphone with thegreek.

Websites work perfectly. No connection problems at all.

Pros:

Websites
Visual Voicemail
Touchscreen

Cons:
Cannot text pictures or recieve. You have to go to a website with a password and login.

Size of the iphone is big.

No warranty.
