I don't know about your overall game or you beating him, but your putting might be better.

Tiger is the best player to ever play the game and that has to be one of the dumbest comments I have ever heard. :mj07:

Had that terrific shot on 13 rolled back into the cup for bird instead of rolling four inches to the left, I think things could have been a bit different. Not to mention that super long putt that ended up on the lip...He did seem a little "tired" looking, though. That wind had to have been tough for all of them - and apparently it was.

tiger isn't the greatest player yet, but he will be. losing a major tournament means nothing, he finished second and didn't do anything, so what does that say?

You know what is really amazing about Tiger Woods?

Out of all the professional sports, how many of them can you sit here and say that while that's sports arguably best player ever was playing WHILE being discussed as the best player ever?

On top of that, a little side note, off topic.

Isn't it amazing that the ONLY sport in which people flat out always have the same answer for best player ever, is Michael Jordan of the NBA? In all other sports nobody has this clear cut vision of who really was the best ever. However, in the NBA, it's clear cut, Jordan accross the board.

This is a valid point, tho, I agree. When women and children are involved, and not just the man by himself with one focus, that certainly could affect a few things.

The thing is, the guy just ran off a streak of consecutive PGA wins, right before this, so not sure one weekend of not performing at his ultimate level is that fair.

He'll probably win the Open at Torrey Pines - he wins there most of the time, and then we'll see how things go.

Not across my board! I got Jordan as #3.

There really is NO arguing Woods is the best ever.

You're not with the consensus, which is what I meant, or wanted it to be percieved as.

When it comes to the NFL, you can argue on ends who the best ever was.

In the NBA, it's a landslide, and most of the time, unarguable.

Maybe he should try winning the first major before he talks about winning the grand slam.:mj07:

100% agree, it is nauseating to watch golf these days as all they talk about is Tiger this and Tiger that. I like Tiger and think he is the best player now, but until he beats Jack Nicklaus major record Jack is the best to ever play.

I agree. Ask everyone over 20 years of age who the best player ever in the NBA is and the vast majority (prob 8 out of 10) would say MJ.
I would say it. :SIB
